About the mic in the gf1 panasonic :

Panasonic DMW MS1 Microphone

You can attach a stereo mic on it! It's not clear at the specs but it's connected at the remote mini jack!

Nope, you're wrong. I own the GF1 and looking the manual it explicitly says :

External microphone: none

... actually she does reflect the majority of prosumer market who now looks for still cameras with HD video capabilities .. which will provide an all in one solution in documenting their creative contents ... so the mic or at least an external mic input is definitely required to be appealing.
