  • This is a great idea... never would have thought of it myself and can't wait to try it. Thanks for posting!

  • amazing!! by far the best "ashtray"?:

  • does it matter if the water bottle has "sculpted" lines or shapes on it???

  • @mpiskotaki23 - Nope, not in the least. If you can tell, my water bottle had the normal rows of horizontal ridges, but you can do it with the 'filligreed' bottles as long as your scissors are sharp and your aim is true. It may help to cut at a bit of an angle, also, but nothing more than 30 degrees, or the strips will be a right pain to tuck aside.

  • what if you got the angles right on the fins and made a wind powered airvent (like the ones on vans and guard houses) could work :P

  • @EkatanktE - Yes! That's where the idea originally came from.

  • all i see are some pretty sweet ash trays.

  • @rayjrusi - Yeah, the metal ones work well as ashtrays. The plastic ones do, too, but you have to put a tablespoon of water or a scoop of sand at the bottom.

  • cool idea. i wil try it.. thanks for sharing.

  • @subuchatt - I hope you do; it comes out really nicely, and once you get the gist of it, you can slyly pull out a pair of scissors at a picnic a impress people with your snippery, lol.

  • well guess what what u seed about skipping 1 by accident happened to me!! lol lol lol

  • I MADE A WATER BOTTLE 1 ITS AWESOME but i bent it and it didnt break it stood still and is good so far thanks 4 the tutorial i hope my usumpition wasnt arong

  • @Ihartshanedawson56 - Isn't the water bottle great? It almost looks like cut crystal or something, it's my abfave. Congrats!

  • @khayotikk thanks!!

  • I'm going to make one for my mom-Thanks!

  • I love the water bottle, very nice!

  • Absolutely love your vocabulary :D haha

  • You ROCK!! keep it green!

  • Love!

  • so is it supposed to be a jet turbine or what?

  • I so love this video--and you. Your vernacular and inflections are adorable. Sis hug!

  • Big words? I didn't notice either but, not to sound contumelious but I beleive my semantic prowess is at least pari passu if not superior to that of my contemporaries. Praise sesquipedalianism...why use a diminutive word when a colassal one will suffice.

  • @Buzzsawman - That comment made my lady parts beep a little.

  • @Buzzsawman Well you had me, untill you annihilated your entire preamble by finishing with a quite dissapointing spelling error, one may say a colossal one. Indeed if one was of the intent, one could call to task you claim of prowess reducing you from superior, below pari passu to simply verbose, or dare I say it barely garrulous.

  • @Siasl75 - All of this complex jargon is so libidinous. Be still, my vascular mechanism.

  • @Buzzsawman To continue...

Perhaps when next you deign to elucidate the herculean denizens of this Improvident domain, you would consider broadening the prowess of your semantisicism or at least be of the awareness that many rest under its burgeoning enclosure that may consider your boasts a challenge

  • Very cool thanks for sharing you art with us

  • Love it -- this old lady is gonna rock one!!

  • omg this is cool

  • Great work. You have the skills to be an art teacher!

  • come see my stop motion made with a can of soda!... thanks for the visit.

  • @oldimeubs - C'est très agréable!

  • u use so many big words its a sunday i dont want to learn any new words

  • @meggalilmissswagger - Big words? I didn't notice... I speak pretty up-there sometimes. But hey, you gotta learn something new everyday! :)

  • @meggalilmissswagger i didn't notice any big words either

  • This is supper cool. XD

  • i want the clear ones but i honestly could not make that...plus im rediculously clumsy

  • i made a few myself and now my friends want them they are the best thing to use i used loads of cand and the plastic ones i had a really hard time and destroyed it lmao...and about those shards of evil.....(evil bastards, they have must been sent by the devil) i cut my self tonnes of times and i always tell my friends when i give it to them i alwayts say there is a little bit of my inside it and they look at my like i have a thousand heads

  • @silentgui08 - I laughed so frkkn hard when I read that because it sounds like something I'd say... awesome :D

  • Fabulous AND green. Hearts!!

  • Very creative and nice! Thanks for posting. You just gave me an idea how to do my vertical axis turbine for the wind generator that I have been wanting to build by do-it-yourself. I just could not figure how to do it before but now thanks to you. Hope you could post more of your creative ideas. will sent you a friend invite and sub your channel. Take care

  • I tried this on a 20 ounce soda bottle & got it to stay by bending the ends like the cans. I'm sure this wouldn't work on brittle plastic cups though. I then did a 2 liter soda bottle & instead of bending the ends, I cut into the ends to make a notch. This worked pretty well, though I still need some glue to get them all to stay.

  • Could these be turned into pinwheels?...would a nice breeze make 'em spin?

  • @comfits - You know what? I'm sure if you use a not-too-snug nail or thumbtack to attach it to a post, that could work. It works on turbines, so why not? Would be cool to see!

  • Very nice and amazing.

I will try this with my son next week.

I´ msure he will be astonishes. ;-)

    Thx for posting.

  • keep on saving the world 1 can at a time xxx

  • oh these are kinda cool

  • Is good! Thanks!

I particularly like the simple 'fold end over , curl strip down and round, and hook on to secure' method.

  • Ohkay so I'm not sure it matters but here's my idea. I'm going to take this idea and making it something even better. A science project. To get even more specific a windmill.

This part will be the propellars. I just have to add the base.

Thankyou so much for posting this! (:

  • Rock solid! Sounds like a good proj, I hope it works out for you. And keep bandages on hand! Lol

  • Sweet love it

  • that was soooooooo cool. thank you for posting

  • Thanks! You can also use this technique on cardboard paper product tubes. And straws, believe it or not.

  • awesome

  • Wow, saw your post on Threadbanger and came here. Great work. I'm going to try the plastic bottle one, because it looks cool and I'm afraid pop cans would destroy my scissors

  • wow..that was pretty amazing!

  • Sweet! I came up with it when I went to a party with no cans...

  • thankyou! to stop myself from runnign into my moms oom screaming and waking her up, I'll just use this here water bottle instead of going out to buy random spiffy energy drinks >.>
