They live in South American jungles, the biggest one recorded was just under a foot in diameter (the biggest any spider is gunna be really). They have been known to eat birds, but this is not a common occurrence. Australian Golden Orb Weavers have also been sighted eating birds, but again, this is very rare. As per usual, Mr K Dilkington has read a headline and made up the rest, the round-headed Manc twat!
