I have installed vice-city in Ubuntu-Lucid using Wine 1.3.6 , it installed successfully but whenever i try to run it it, it shows me the message "This problem is cause by a problem in Program or deficiency in Wine"
Is wine 1.3.6 is not suitable to play it or other configuration are required...>?
I had also enabled Direct-3D from Wine-configuration.....

Can you play games in full-screen? I'm really thinking about giving ubuntu another try. My problem is that I had such a bad experience last time on my old laptop.

Start PlayOnLinux, select "Install" -> "Games" "GTA Vice City" and install it.

I made a background in GIMP, and saved it as PNG (because it's semitransparent). I then added the clip on top of the video clip and added a composite effect to it by right clickng on it -> "Add Transition" -> "Composite" : )
