  • That's a mighty mighty 12-string Telecaster.

  • This concert was the best ever. I am the kid who Bruce walked up to on Mary's place. If anyone has that video please post it.

  • Bruce may be The Boss and he surely is great, but KISS are KINGS, and their version is a whole lot better. Anyway, this is a good song.

  • @gabstanace2 things people say when they're delusional?

  • @EStTramp The Crystals do it better then KISS or Bruce ever have.

  • @EStTramp Things people say when they KNOW what they like. I like Bruce a lot, but I grew up on Kiss: Kiss Army Soldier till I die. Can't I like both or what?

  • @gabstanace2 Bruce is the boss and one time a drip of sweat dropped from his balls, out of it came KISS. Get a clue man!!!

  • La La Brooks, the original singer, the best.

  • Bruce had a pimple burst on his ass and KISS came out of it. They shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as BRUCE!!!!

  • BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE

  • doesnt matter,its a great song!

  • Better vocals by Kiss by far. Search it on youtube.

  • @DoctorDelaware Amen to that.

  • Bruce is a fucking legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • let me say that paul stamley's voice here is better, but bruce did a good work right here ;)

  • Then She Kissed Me THE BOSS IS REAL POWER ROCK & ROLL

    THANKS THEBOSS=ROCK ALL ROLL

  • cool version......so is the kiss version and the original!

  • Com o KIss é bem Melhor!

  • kiss is better !!!!!!

  • was the question 'things a 12 year old would say'?

  • @EStTramp the one and only cystals...

  • @EStTramp I think so. Only silly little kids would prefer Kiss (sucks) over THE FREAKING BOSS.

  • @NikkiFuckingSixx69 NO WAY!!!!

  • @Jakesroomguiter25 oh yes it soo is!

  • @NikkiFuckingSixx69 i'll go for "things deaf people say"

  • Comment removed

  • i think they screwed up a bit on that key change around 3:00. Bruce is great, but i like the kiss version better.

  • paul stanley sings it better.

  • ur entitled to ur opinion, even tho it's wrong:)

  • lols

  • @covet66 yeah and the beach boys too

  • Iam not a big fan of Bruce Springsteen, BUT I think he´s doing a WONDERFUL version of this song!

  • the aformentioned "phantom sax noise" was in fact, Bruce shouting "bridge," directing the band which way to go. That was it, no sax noise, or conspiracy theory. Let this be the end of it. Because I said it, it is so.

  • Could have been keyboards with a sax effect or it could be a backing track. It is not Bruce saying Band ... not a vocalization in any way. It's a sax noise.

  • He played this song Sunday Night in Fort Lauderdale. Unbelievable version!

  • last night was the WOAD tour debut from mybrucespringsteen!!!

  • at 2:41 does anyone see how clarence pulls the sax. away from his mouth but there is a squeak sound from a sax. ?

  • I hear what you're talking about, but if you listen you can tell that's one of Bruce's random vocalizations that he often throws out like "yeah", "that's right", "big man", "stevie", or some unintelligible sound....

  • sure sounds like a sax...

  • I was at this show, and what Bruce said was "band", as he often does.

  • @stewjek is right

  • That's actually Bruce calling for the band to go to the "bridge" of the song. Gotta call out the parts sometimes when you don't touch a song in 30 years. Nice job, Boss!

  • My favorite "sung" song the Beach Boys did by my fav. artist. Thanks, Bruce. Perfect

  • I was at that St. Louis show. It was my first ever Springsteen concert, and the ppl that I was with say that it was one of the best setlists on that tour. I sure wish that Bruce would have recorded his version of Then She Kissed Me, because no one can do it as good as The Boss!!!

  • What a set list from the St. Louis show, he should of continued that on the Working On A Dream Tour! Can't complain, got Proud Mary at L.A. Sports Arena on Night #2!! Take a break Bruce later this year and come back strong in 2010.....

  • Yeah, I was at the LA show second night when "Proud Mary' was played..Timeless!!

  • its not from the chiffons-its the Crystals

  • This music its from Kiss

  • No it's from the Chiffons from decades ago, Kiss made a cover like the Boss, the difference is Kiss's sucks and his doesn't.

  • LoL, I dont knew that

sad you say this about kiss

but well, each one with their opinion

  • It's quite obvious why this show was considered the best show on the tour.

  • I don't know about that...

  • The general consensus amongst fans was that St. Louis was the best show of the entire Magic tour, and judging by the high quality boot I have it (and I have over 20 excellent boots from every leg of the tour except for Europe 2007 and including all three Giant Stadium shows and two of the shows for Danny), I cannot disagree with that assertion. The energy, consistency and intensity they played with that night was incredible, plus the setlist was awesome.

  • I caught him a couple of times including Giants #2 - any fan that saw a show would swear that show to be the best. Giants #2 didn't let me sit down- maybe for "Livin' in the Future," but the setlist was great there too. They were great every time, and I honestly didn't even consider St. Louis to be the best of the tour myself because he played so many shows, each of them special and superb; judging just by reviews, I couldn't discriminate. In any case, he didn't (and doesn

    t have bad nights...

  • I was at this concert! It was the greatest experience of my life!!!! Bruce and the band were amazing! Backstreets and Jungleland were phenomenal, along with Dancing in the Dark, Thunder Road, Born to Run, and all the other greats. I am hoping he comes back to St. Louis or that area again after he gets down on the European leg of this tour! I can't wait!!!!

  • yea me too...

  • Me too - hopefully he hits St. Louis again after Europe!

  • sounds cool but I more like the Kiss Version.

  • yuck

  • then you're gay

  • @ sondheimfan1 I'm sure you wish I'd be gay

    I've got a question.

The "1" in your account name....I don really know but is it your intelligence quotient?

So.... Greetz and Kisses from "Gay-Likeamonster"

    I hate you

  • @likeamonster So true. KISS's version rocks!

  • the only performance during the magic tour

  • I looove it, thanks a lot

  • dejense de joder, a la version de kiss no le llega ni a los talones

  • did u get the whole show or just bits and pieces

  • There was a video from the 70s of Bruce doing this cover. Anyone know where its at?

  • this is one of bruce's favourite oldies- originally sung by the crystals

  • same here heard as a kid in the movie Adeventures of Babysitting and love it since.

  • Hammer the skins MIGHTY MAX!! God bless AMERICA. And Then She Kissed Me!!

  • KISS were the ones who covered this song, grasshopper

  • im kinda confused, is this a KISS cover or has KISS covered this song?

  • The beach boys made this song in 1967(Then I Kissed Her)

KISS Made of cover of it in 1977 and changed the lyric a little bit (Then She Kissed Me)

Bruce also made a cover of it and keep the KISS version...Bye!

  • This song was originally recorded by the Crystals in 1963 and it was titled "Then He Kissed Me".

  • The Best Show EVER!!!!!!

  • I was in the third row that night and man it changed my life...

  • in what way, may i ask? :)

  • three days after this show I came back home... the next day I joined a band and we've been gigging ever since... and granted seeing Clapton made me buy a guitar but seeing Springsteen made me want to be a showman...

  • sounds like it brought you out to share your love and passion. good luck

  • amazing!

I was there with some friends...and we are from italy :-)

please tell me that you recorded all the show!

  • My favorite song the Beach Boys EVER did...even though a cover..Even better by Bruce!!!

  • yea its by the Crystals...

  • I can't imagine being in this audience and hearing the opening notes of this. It's my favorite boot song of all time. Thank you so much for posting this. Every time I'm in a bad mood, I call it up and play it.

  • I was there and it was an absolute thrill to hear him open with this...One of those "you had to be there" shows!!!...it was my wife's first Bruce show and she had a fantastic time....

  • Are you kidding me it sounds great...

  • Happy Birthday Bruce!

    (like he's reading this...

    oh well!)

  • I was at this concert!!!! The best concert I have ever seen and probably will ever see! They played for over three hours!

  • brilliant!!!

  • PRAY FOR A TOUR DVD

    Magic Tour

  • I am, but I'm praying more for the 30th anniversary edition of Darkness to actually come out, and with the Passaic 9/19/78 on DVD, followed by 12/15/78 Winterland on CD!

That show is the best Darkness show ever,

one of the top three of his life in my book.

  • saw the 9/19/78 concert in NJ...legendary.

this was a very special tour becauise of the diverse set lists and the audience participation

  • Nice shooting Scorp! Hope you don't mind that I used the link for my myspace blog. Once again, It was great to meet and party w/you in KC & hope to do it again.

    Greg Maniha

  • this was a truly badass concert, i only wished he played "lost in the flood"

  • Fantastic! Like I said.. I gotta travel to see atleast ONE show during his last leg!!!!

  • i was there right in front of bruce

  • Havent heard that one played in concert since the Bottom Line in '75. Consider yourselves lucky St. Louis!!! Damn!

  • this may have been the best 3 hours of my life ever.

  • Wow, I've seen Bruce 3 times and your words ring so true!!!!

  • This may have been the best concert ever. They were doing the sound check on "She Kissed Me". Didn't think it was them. When they opened with it,it was perfect.Flew to KC on a Plane load of E Street fans. What a blast.

  • Sophie was elderly lady in the audience she was to the right of from bands view. Her friends/relatives had a sign pointing to her and asking bruce to play a song for her.

  • WOW! Adventures in Babysitting!

  • This one goes on "my list"

Thanks Bruce for a fabulous show! xo

  • Amen...This song was already on my list."Part of the price of admission." One of the best bootlegs ever. I wonder how many people in this crowd knew what a treat that they were in for? I actually had to break out the old vinyl bootleg from the Bottom Line 8/15/75(date sound familiar to anyone?) He also did Everytime You Walk in the Room at that '75 show. I can remeber buying that Bootleg at the Plastic Fantastik record store in Bryn Mawr, PA and being pissed that it was over $20.00.

  • That shoulda been released on CD instead of the Hammersmith show! The Bottom Line show was magic.

Best E Street Shuffle probably too.

  • A great start to a great concert - even though they were late. I heard that the Big Man was having back problems before the show. Bruce probably reached back with songs like this and "Mountain of Love" to make up for it.

  • i loved this song in "Goodfellas" but Bruce's version is way better

hope they put it on a record someday

  • i love the 60es i love bruce

  • Hey I just realized he picked, maybe by coincidence, the 33rd anniversary of the last time this song was played, to play it again!

    8/23/75, Electric Ballroom, Atlanta!

(this version's better tho it ain't as great as the Bottom Line one, but who cares! he Did it!)

    thanks for posting!

  • That was fucking FANTASTIC! About time Bruce did this one again.

  • Well put primitivelink!

  • Anybody have anything that references Sophie from the St. Louis show....video, audio, anything? You know he did Twist & Shout for her.

  • one of the songs on here has bruce talking to sophie, check out all st louis springsteen videos on here. best show i have ever seen. who is sophie anyway?

  • One helluva show...a first time for my kids....but life changing for my daughter who was chosen to dance with Bruce last night in St. Louis. Any chance anyone has some video to share from last nights "Dancing"?

  • your daughter did herself proud. i have been a bruce fan for 35 years and i think that i would have fainted if bruce pulled me up on stage when i was 12 or 13 years old. she danced like she owned the place. nice job and a kiss from bruce on top of it.

  • Great show. The crowd was in to the show and Bruce rocked!!!

  • Show started 90 minutes late, got tired of being in my seat before the show even began, when the show started it was so great that I forgot about it starting late, incredible show. I won't soon forget it.

  • get ready kansas city, he's coming your way tonight!!!!!

  • Again another one that would have been great for hershey

  • encore was great!!! has to be one of the top bruce shows that i have seen, hope to see more posts from this concert.

  • apparently jnjmitch hasn't seen a real crowd at a bruce show. before the show started the crowd was dead and of u watch this video you can see the lack of enthusiasm. typical st louis crowd, ever been to a Rams game? concert was fantastic as i said earlier but i was ashamed by the empty seats and people in my section standing like zombies.

  • u should have been to the shows in gothenburg, sweden the audience was great, everybody stood up right from the begining (might have something to do with that they opened with born in the usa)

  • WOW,out of all the shows Ive seen,Thats was the best encore EVER!!

  • it wasn't an encore...He opened the show with this...

  • I was there...amazing concert. Longest i've been to.

  • Don't know what you're talking about, tybruce- the crowd was into the show from the minute he walked out until he played the last note. I've never seen an audience or a concert like it. Absolutely amazing show.

  • i was there and the concert was fantastic!! what a surprise to start the show off. typical st louis crowd, sitting around waiting for something to happen rather than reacting to the fact that they were witnessing the greatest rocker ever. thanks for posting and i hope you have others from st louis so that i can relive it over and over.

  • ya...I was scratchin' my head and was wondering why the show was starting late...

  • show started late because they had to wait for tony larussa, cardinal manager, who had a rain delay and was running late.

  • Best concert of my life so far. I was speechless after it.

  • Very, Very cool.

  • First time in 33 years... =)

  • OMG he didn't sang that song since 75 !

  • 2 cool! wall of sound indeed...
