Great message, but...is it not possible for this firm to actually acknowldge the holidays its people celebrate? Say the word "Hanukkah" occasionally, say the word "Christmas" occasionally. These are not swear words. These, and others, are the holidays PwC's people are celebrating. It is disrespectful, and perhaps even cowardly, to not acknolwedge this. The firm may be doing this in the name of political correctness, but they are in fact offending many people.
Disrespectful and cowardly to not name the holidays?? You should really get yourself checked out. That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. It is easier to say "holidays" instead of trying to name every holiday and possibly leave one out. Get a life!
What are all these holidays you are referring to? You make it sound like there are 27 different holidays taking place, and "oh no!" we might just forget one -- what are all these holidays that are so difficult to remember? Hanukkah? Christmas? What else? Kwaanza? Folks who celebrate Kwaanza also celebrate Christmas. What else is there? For the sake of the one holiday we may leave out, we refuse to name the holidays that 99% of us celebrate - yeah, that makes sense.
I am proud to be associated with PwC and believe this is another example that demonstrates the Firm's commitment to its people and to the community. The Firm's commitment to community service has always been one of its main focuses. As an individual that devotes a significant amount of time to my local community as well as to the clients I serve as a member of PwC, I encourage others to take notice and pledge themselves to the betterment of the world we all live in.
