No mention of Transformers? G1 1984 and 1985 Transformers are the my favourite toys ever. Collecting the full set is very achievable as long as you just stick to the first two G1 years.
I think that in the future, gamers will tend obviously to do the same as we do now: collect and play the old classics. Lets say in 10-15 years, true gamers would be amaze with the xbox, ps2-ps3 and wii thang.
Once I heard the soothing Mario64 sunken ship music, I was mesmerized. hehe (maybe the most beautiful part I've seen in a game, aurally and visually)
You're my kinda guy (nohomo), very similar tastes. Loved to hear you say Frog and Hornet. Looks like you've done quite well for yourself in life dude. Nice home, awesome cars, pretty wife, and the mother of all game collections. Well done!
Would love to know what you do for a living, but if you were inclined to say, I suspect it'd be in the vid.
First of all i'd like to say good on ya for making this video, it's not a style i enjoy but what ever. Second of all i'd like to ask why i'm not able to subscribe to your videos? I have watched them all so far and enjoyed them so it would be easier to watch them if they came up as a new video in my subscriptions list. Thanks mate keep on making this videos of your cool stuff.
Hey Joel I remember you store on St georges rd Northcote got my Jap MegaDrive and quackshot i was like 11 years old. Also bought heaps of other games too. Last I remember was Alicia dragoon. Man has it been that long
hey, im too hoping that Sega can come back with their own console again one day. I remember i used to despise them as a kid as i was such the nintendo fanboy back in the day, but nowadays i have absolute respect for them as they played a major part in gaming history
Sorry to hear you were forced out of buisness by SEGA of all people this Q&A was really compelling, i remember getting an imported megadrive and famicon back in the day and paying £85 english pounds for streetfighter 2 the most i've ever spent on a game to date.Anyway cheers for gracing youtube with your collection and it goes without saying cant wait to see the arcade room Toe.
I also think what people forget is that some people have been collecting for 30 years plus, (the average gamer age is now around 30). Alot of these people have spent what money they have had on a hobby they love, which was their decision. Im sure if people did the same, in the next 30 years they would look at their collection and go wow, ive got so much stuff, people will think im rich.
Loved the video. When you started answering the questions you sounded so much like me lol Star Wars Fan and collector, played Space Invaders when it came out as a kid, got an Atari 2600 Woody, it was amazing. Obviously I dont collect arcade machines myself although I would love a sit down Star Wars arcade cabinet but houses are so expensive where I live I just dont have the money to move to a bigger house with far more space. Alot of my stuff is already stored away which is such a shame..
You are very original. I can also see you you are holding back in some parts, like you want to be out spoken !? You are what YT need >Someone with originality and a truck load of games to back it up! I really Think you need to show us your arcade room more. Don't take this the wrong way I love your channel , but I find it hard to believe you have Hang on, Space Harrier , Out Run After Burner etc, just way to swallow being Yu Suzuki's baby's. And Enduro Racer come on! Show us the Arcade Room
@Retroradboy Thank you . I would not say that if I didn't have them. Tell you what Just make sure your watching Friday night around 10pm Australian time. so thats 8am US time Approx
@klaudkil Thanks, Yeah I feel its speeding along, bit strange. I can honestly say I just want to show people games/ stuff that is hard to find nowadays
@TheLastGamertube wel you know if you have like the biggest collection on YT ever you know! you gonne speed up a lot...looking forward to your other vids buddy
I raise my glass to you sir! I 100% share your views on modern gaming compared to the older generation. It's good but just a different era. Hard to convey to a younger generation on why the 80's and 90's were so great for gaming. I also have long been hoping that Sega will awaken and re-enter the market with a new console. Heartbreaking they're not in the hardware biz anymore. Enjoyed the interview. Great story about CAPCOM. Looking forward to those CPS reviews too. Great stuff.
Awesome interview Joel. Im sure you did win the lottery LOL since you do have so much good stuff. You have the games and oh not to mention the car. Your are a true inspiration to me and no doubt I will be getting retro games oveaseas very soon! I am getting good games myself lately and will continue to do so :)
@marioandsonic1986 Thanks so Much, I promise if I won the Lottery I would have bought the house next door and made a Games House LOL. Thanks so much for your kind words
Enjoyed the interview. Sega arcade machines were always like the main attraction of any arcade. They were always the coolest sounding and best looking. Capcom CPS games were also the business. Looking forward to reviews of those gems!
Great video mate, it answered alot of questions i had regarding your collection, i have uploaded my Shop video, and i think we are quite like minded in the way we want to run our shops.
If your ever in the UK or want any uk Specific games or are looking fro some preowned bargains please give us a shout
Nice Q&A man, always fun to learn more about our fellow YouTubers :)
Would love to see those arcade cabs sometime man. You've got a amazing collection and man I'm jealous. But hey, you worked for it and have been into it building it up for a long time, shows how far that can bring you :)
Funny how I think almost exactly about doing unboxing video's, although I do make them when I received something from a fellow YouTuber as a thank you.
@ryanc519 Its around the middle of the video. He talks about being friend with one guy from Capcom and now both of them are best friends. I know how ya feel. We all are in same boat and dont really know whether it will sink or take us to the sores of dreams. All I think of is patients and hope.
@ryanc519 IDK then. I thought so. Oh well, its alright mate. What ever he is up to, he earns a lot of money. I think he is probably in mafia category.
@FrapsYou I can't remember what he exactly said in the video, but he does not own a video game store anymore. He DID in the past, in the 16-bit (MD/SNES) era.
No mention of Transformers? G1 1984 and 1985 Transformers are the my favourite toys ever. Collecting the full set is very achievable as long as you just stick to the first two G1 years.
