spider jockeys appear 1% of the time a spider spawns, ive only seen 2 out of, say, 400 spiders. its funny how not many people know about them.

Guys this trap unfortunately doesnt work for spiders in Beta because they can climb walls. :'(

This doesn't work since Beta came out. The pigs just swim through the water under the glass and clog up your collection point. Still kills the mobs though.

Ehh just used a few cactuses down in the water and now they bounce around getting hit until they die. Whatever it works for me.

Oh forgot to mention, I moved the glass wall a row closer.

To summarise all my ramblings for your items to flow out:- move the glass wall 1 row further out and then pour the water against the 3 row of blocks up, instead of the 2nd.

OK I figured it. Instead of pouring the water on the 2nd row of blocks behind the glass, you need to pour the water against the 3rd row, then fix the glass in like you (Scott) have done (leaving a 1 block high gap under the wall of glass). All items will now flow out to your collection point (you should have 6 rows of water flowing into the collection room after the wall of glass). This trap catches ALL items and works superbly, except of course for those damned chickens.... >:-(

Nice. Re the problem with the stuff not being pushed through, have you tried putting lines of water along the bottom blocks (like you'd normally do when creating a channel) before you put the lines of water against the 2nd line up of blocks? The lines of water on the bottom should then push the stuff through. Only issue with that is that you'll need to extend your collection point further in because of the extra water. Try it and let me know.

@ScottFreee3 Your very lucky 2 see a spider jockey.At 7:16 thats called a spider jockey there a extremely rare mob.There is a 1% chance of a spider jockey spawning in the game.

The trap is 10x better than the cactus trap, the CP was too complicated and the cactus will destroy most of the drops, soon as we get a Minecraft Update again and I'll get into it I'll make a new world and make this awesome trap, ty for showing it
