LOUISE HOMER (30 April 1871 – 6 May 1947) was an American operatic contralto who had an active international career in concert halls and opera houses from 1895 until her retirement in 1932.
Marvelous! I'm just reading Alma Gluck's daughter, Marcia Davenport's autobiography , " Too Strong for Fantasy" published in the late 60's. In the book she laments how hard it is to obtain her mother's records. But thanks to YouTube and people like yourself, today these great artist can be heard again. Thank you!!!
@blessOTMA Thank you very much! Yes, that is one of the wonders of cyberworld. Let's hope it remains with us. You are right. Alma Gluck is very well represented on Youtube. It's a joy to see all these singers from the past gain new life in the 21st century!
@SuperLuckydream Thank you very much. Yes, they were wonderful, especially when they sang together. They made a fair number of religious duets. They were greatly loved singers.
A sweet remembrance of the lost art of duet singing. Perfect blend of style and production. Lest it be thought that they recorded only hymns, they also recorded the duet from Rossini's Stabat Mater.

I think, that it is the "Naturally" beautiful singing, as in this lovely duet, that has become 'The Lost Art". Thanks Edmond , simply beautiful.
