Wow. I really love this. This is truly inspiring. I have always thought circuit bending was great, but have so much going on in my life to focus on it. Seems more fitted for people probably studying this. I now really feel like I would like to take this up as a part time hobby. Possible? Dare I? I'm not great with math. Is there a good book or someway to get started u could recommend? or maybe its too complex and I should buy something already modified? any feedback is a huge help!!
@dirt0jumping Yes we did, we also build upright cases for the modified machines shown on this site. Examples can be seen on our Casio MT-40 and PT-30 videos.
hey, i've got the same problem. or almost the same. when i got it, my 16b was "locked". song mode not working, even i think the pattern mode wasnt working. i basically found a way to reset it (with some midi command or key-combination it was...i dont remember well but you can search around the internet). and it got its factory settings and the song/pattern mode were working too. try that.
This item sold ten days after the viddeo was posted on the 6 April this year, all of our units are listed on ebay at the same time as the videos are posted. Sorry. We could build one to the same spec if you are interested, what price would you be happy to pay?
Man, i really dont know what this kind of thing costs, but i can tell you that im not a man with the largest amount of money! On the other side, this is one beautiful machine!
What was the price on this machine when it was sold ?
Is this just fun with electronics or is anyone making serious music with this stuff? An HR16 thru an Alesis Airfex can make mind blowing sounds and doesn't take hours of mod work. Please add a link to any real music using this modded HR16.
I have just got this unit back, I plan to be using it in some recording projects. The video is the filming off the first test run of the machine after it had been re-wired.
The power that goes into the machine is only 9 volts and not 240 v. mains so you will not get a shock, but if you are worried then wear some wellington boots.

@aesopart Sorry no idea on that, but you could try removing some the chips that are in holders and blowing out some dust and refiting. Arron

You should take a look at the new S-CAT HR-16 it will give you an idea of what can be done with electronics rather than fx units.

I think Ween used this on both Pure Guava and The Pod.
After my opinion, its the two best albums ever made!

some parts it sounds like it's trying to talk!

We have a few people say that our machines sound as if they have a vocoder inside.
