It wasn't that we had the most golds for a host country, we won the most gold medals for a country in winter olympics history.Before the record was thirteen, thats why when we won the hockey game I drove to Vancouver to celebrate.

As a Canadian living in Philadelphia, and coming from a military background, I find it shameful how we bash each other countries. I came to the US expecting everyone to be rude (like you hear ALL Americans are) but found out that was just a myth. I have met some people here who are the kindest and sweetest that I have met in a long time. The US population is teetering at over 300 million, while Canada is a mere 30 million. So there were some Canadians fighting in the war...There were few English-Canadians and mostly French-Canadians fighting, along with a bunch of Natives, and as you mentioned mostly mercenary British soldiers. As a Canadian living in Philadelphia, and coming from a military background, I find it shameful how we bash each other countries. I came to the US expecting everyone to be rude (like you hear ALL Americans are) but found out that was just a myth. I have met some people here who are the kindest and sweetest that I have met in a long time. The US population is teetering at over 300 million, while Canada is a mere 30 million. Each country has developed/invented numerous things...

It wasn't that we had the most golds for a host country, we won the most gold medals for a country in winter olympics history.Before the record was thirteen, thats why when we won the hockey game I drove to Vancouver to celebrate.

I really shouldn't be saying this but most people who go only by the Olympics really have nothing else to go by. besides every country has strong and weak points. Canada's strong is it's international relations and multiculturalism.
We are weaker in athletics and trying to kill people for shitty reasons. That's probably why we don't do it as much as the US.
