Look at you, ballin', hehe. I just added accucut to my very long wishlist, hehe. I hope to get one too, someday :) Enjoy your cool stuff. Can't wait to see your awesome project using your accucut stuff. TFS :)
Great Haul video! Congratulations! Definitely experiment with different thicknesses of cardstock and chipboard. Can't wait to see what you make with it!
Congrats on the Grand Mark. I just got mine at the same time you got yours also for my B'day. Have had the Mark IV for over 10 yrs. Was a little disappointed cause the GM didn't cut med wt chipboard well for me with the rubber cutting pads. I just ordered the plastic cutting pads just for chipboard. Have no trouble cutting other material. Have to use my Mark 1V in the mean time to cut heavy chipboard til my plastic arrives. Also got a lot of dies but different from the ones you have.
@paprluvr Yay that you got one too! The GM doesn't cut med wt chipboard well for you either? I thought it was just mine! Bona makes hers look like it cuts so easy and I asked Amanda at AccuCut and she says it's the positioning of the die on the tray and to try it at an angle. I haven't tried yet, but I'll let you know!
@joboogie I've used the Mark IV for over 10 yrs so I automatically know to angle the die. It still doesn't cut all the way thru the chipboard. If I try to go back and roll the die back and forth, it will move the chipboard slightly and ruin the diecut. I ordered the plastic cutter pads kit but it will probably take time to get here. I haven't yet purchased the sizzix adapter. The rubber cutting pad is more for dies with creases but it doesn't work well for med chipboard.
@paprluvr hmmm... maybe I'll get the plastic cutter pads too. I just hate waiting for shipping - it takes forever! I got the sizzix adapter, but haven't tried it out yet. I've used shims, but still no luck getting good cuts. When my kids nap today I may give it a try!
@joboogie Yes, I've tried putting stuff onto the tray to use the sizzix with my Mark IV too. Have gotten cuts but it is a PITA. Looked at other videos where they use the Big Shot Pro Platform and shims to help with the thinner dies, along w/ the adapter. If I see the video I'll send you a link. I've bought some BS Pro shims on sale but no platforn or adapter yet. Still playing w/ my new dies so haven't gotten to play w/ smaller dies. Big shot seems confining after using the large machines.
@joboogie Been doing lots of cutting on my diecutters. Found out u can cut med wt chipboard better using the purple mats if you roll over the die a little, then roll back and forth every couple of inches or so, esp. if you feel some resistance. Still not perfect but better than before. Don't roll the entire die thru and then go back cause then there might be shifting. Also keep your hand on the die to avoid shifting of the chipboard. Am still waiting for my plastic mats.
JO!! wooohoooo soooooooo happy for ya girl! ive been debating for months now to buy or not to buy that is the question..my heart is set on to buy but my pocketbook is kinda eh about it lol so much more i can buy other than that but ughhh love it..have fun girl!
@junbug1029 Yes, it was super expensive but I justified it a couple of ways - it's sturdy and durable, it's got a lifetime warranty, and the dies that it can cut are super thick and heavy that I'd want a sturdy, durable machine to use them! :) I didn't have to build a room, but I did convert my closet to an AccuCut corner! *lol*
Woo Hoo! congrats :) I've never seen one before, it's huge! are you going to open a shop to sell the cuts? I can't wait to see what all you can do with this! Have fun!
Jo! I'm so excited for you too! I have a Mark IV but it isn't as compatible with some dies as your Grand Mark. Good for you and happy birthday! Janet =D
I'm just seeing this video!!! Great deal! So h happy for you...late I know! Lol
