Thank you for your love of God. Please see my Orthodox Christian video promotions on youtube under 'marykfilms.' Time will show that this is the church built on a rock.
The roman catholic church never CHANGED THE CREED BUT ONLY CLEARIFIED THE HOLY TRINITY... Gods reveals truth to his church and thus when truth was revealed some didnt accept it
Orthodoxy is not pagean, orthodoxy was the first and is the only true church its was made buy jesus christ, it was passed to the 12 apostles, it is the proper way to glorify god, all these new "christian religions" may beleive in the same god but do not golrify god in the proper mannor, the orthodox stay the same, and has survived 2000 year if you insult the orthodox and say that we are pagean then you are infact insulting god, what your saying is "youve got a sun on your church orthodoxys wrong
I have seen al these three videos. Sorry, but I still think the Orthodox Church is as pagan as the Roman Catholic Church. For example, in video 1, I saw a monstrance: a symbol of sun worship. I am Seventh-Day Adventist and I know my church is only about 150 years old. But in history, there have been Sabbaterians in different periods: the first Christians in England, some of the Waldenses, Christians in Ethiopia. Read The Great Controversy by Ellen G. White.
@waaromjezus Yes their are many Orthodox Churches but they are all (almost) in communion and all recognise each other as equals.... very different to protestantism where divisions are created because of changes to beliefs etc... Orthodox Christians are all in COMMUNION this actually is a strength that keeps the TRUE CHURCH real and unchanged from the begining. So an Armenian Orthodox can marry a Russian, Greek, Coptic or American Orthodox because of common COMMUNION... Amen !
@waaromjezus Sorry you feel that way, you are a free man and God has given you free will. What and how you use it is up to you. As for the "monstance" it is NOT for worship of the sun, it is the eternal light of God that shines on all of us. And yes it might be an old "tradition" but Christ did say to keep our traditions either through epistle or by word.
I always marvel at those who quote John 3:16, but conveniently leave out John 3:17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
Interesting, I find, that many in this comment thread seem to be condemning my faith. Would Jesus do the same?
I am a firm supporter of the Orthodox Church, the ROman Catholic Church, and the Protestant Churches.
U don't believe in denominations but ur gonna start your own church?? Plz elaborate and a question is the church physical ex(building, race, place) or spiritual???
the sevice is always good, however the sermon changes how steep it is going up on being good standing on its own. Lutheran Church Misouri Synod (LCMS) seems to be pretty much the same. perhaps where our origin turned away we turned back.
One of the oldest creeds in Christianity is 1Corinthians15:3-8, created and memorized by the disciples within 5 years of the resurrection. Also the creed "Jesus is Lord" is very old. The sermons in Acts all say the same thing. Basically what I am saying is hang in there and don't give up. Even though people disagree on non-essential teachings and have strong preferences, the core teachings of Christianity are the same. What matters most is Christ's question "Who do you say I am?"
thank you so much for your effort to encourage and comfort me. It really means a lot. And your words ARE encouraging, and comforting. "Jesus is Lord" is our confession, as well as that creed from 1Corinthians. Now I am struggling with living life in line with that confession. Jesus' words are hard, for he says "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord' and do not do what I say?" He gives us a parable too-the hardest of parables-describing those who confess Him as Lord, yet disobey. ppfm
...trying to represent) original, authentic, Biblical Christianity. Who then shall I believe? I find this so very discouraging--especially in a time when I am struggling to keep faith. Is there any way to really know who is most like the apostles in their beliefs and practices? I am afraid of being aligned with paganism or apostasy, which to me seems like what all Churches claim about all other churches. What can I do? How can I know?
@Grambo4 Oh how this comment has touched me, as I too struggled with the idea of the ONE church. I too struggled with my faith, yet something has helped. Something that continues to help. I do not claim to be any denomination because I find so many faults in them all. I read, study, and follow God's word and have found unbelievable amounts of faith through simple healing, and dreams from God. I do not boast, but God has spoken to me on the matter and I have decided to start a church. God bless.
@Grambo4 Christ chose for His Church's corner-stone neither the brilliant Paul nor the mystic John, but a shuffler, a snob, a coward - in a word, a man. Peter. All the empires and the kingdoms have failed, because of this inherent and continual weakness, that they were founded by strong men and upon strong men. But this one thing, the historic Christian Church, was founded on a weak man, and for that reason it is indestructible. For no chain is stronger than its weakest link.
I'm not trying to attack Orthodoxy, or Orthodox Christians, but I have many apprehensions after seeing this video. I have been told by Catholics too to "come home" into the 'true faith'. And I have been shown many pagan elements in the Catholic traditions, man of which, I'm afraid, I see in the Orthodox church as well. How can one know what the true faith is? Every Church claims to be indwelt by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and every Church also says that they represent (or are really......

I know Ellen White has got much criticism, but there are also people who defend her writings.

According to Wikipedia, there are also many different Orthodox Churches, the same as in protestantism.
