Ivano Balic is vastly overrated. The guy cant even play defense, he is a half player.

He doesnt match anywhere nearly players like Karabatic and Jicha.

The most important thing in handball is the defense. When you have good defense, you:

1. Get ALOT of cheap goals since you get many fast runs when the oponents lose the ball.

2. You break the morale of the oponents team since they start losing confidence when they cant get passed the defense.

That been said, Ivano Balic is the master of offensive play, wonderful to watch him, with brilliant eye for the game, good assists and fantastic goals. But since he cant be put up in defense, it is impossible to consider him one of the best. In my opinion.

Don't get me wrong though, Ivano Balic is a great player, but he just doesn't have everything to be considered THE best..

Lol, Hansen. Hansen is a very young player and hasnt established himself in the top 50 greatest players of all time, let alone the best player of all time. Balic can't play defense, great offensive player though. I have never been a big fan of Karabatic, in my opinion Jerome Fernandez is a much better player.

Im not stating Stefansson is the best player of all time, im saying possibly. His best tournament was in Sweden, I think it was 2002, fantastic tournament for him.
