It is not the job of the president to warn people of an approaching storm. The weather channel, all major news networks and cable news all reported on this storm and that it was coming. Nagin and Landreau were directly responsible for not getting the city evacuated and the resulting loss of life.

The flooding in the lower ninth ward happened the following day, when a levee failed. But, you're wrong about this: We'd known for years that those levees were inadequate, but did nothing. Can't just blame it on the locals.

The difference between Katrina and the BP Oil spill is that Katrina hurricane can be predicted. During Katrina Bush, FEMA, and the mayor of Louisiana failed to warn the people and act on it. The BP spill was unpredictable and no way is Obama's fault but the company's fault BP, it is also somewhat Bush's and Cheney's fault for deregulating the Off shore drilling which caused this spill to keep on spilling even more all because BP didn't want to spend $500,000 for a safety valve in the well...

It is not the job of the president to warn people of an approaching storm. The weather channel, all major news networks and cable news all reported on this storm and that it was coming. Nagin and Landreau were directly responsible for not getting the city evacuated and the resulting loss of life.
