  • 10x alot amigo !!

    was really helpful (:

  • besides, if you want IOU prepare at least 50$! what a mess...

  • personally i think the Multimillionaire Cisco went berserk on the people who want to learn how to operate their own products. this kind of policy reflects and lean people towards piracy. Why not just release student licenses of the real IOS? Personally think that cisco iou sux! GNS3 is way better even with all its bugs! Difficult to setup but once its running its 100 times better than this, besides you cant even create your own topology decently. The only benefit i see is L2 IOU.

  • are there any advantages over just using GNS3?

  • @bazarte quite a lot, it doesnt put so much load on the system as gns3 , it is much faster, and mainly you can emulate L2 devices (with gns3 u have to add a card to the router and still you didnt have full functionality)

  • it bares to mention that you need to increase the ram in vmware if you plan to configure more than a couple of routers with that live IOU cd img. It's still less than a hog than gns3.

can't wait until L2IOU gets released in the wild!

  • @MiamiRoach Safe to say that a whole bunch of people would like L2IOU to hit the torrent sites!

  • @routergods To give you the heads up. L2IOU has hit the web for a month now.

There have been people scripting web interfaces to set up L2IOU/L3IOU labs too

Check out the user bx2aa right here on youtube. I'm impressed with his work so far.
