In the game itself there's sound options as you know, that you can adjust separately. When I recorded the mission I had the music turned off, knowing full well I could add whatever music I want when I edit the video later. In fact, the music is turn off all the time. My PS2 is plugged into the video-card in my PC. So when I play, usually I already have a list of mp3's going and all that comes out of the PC sound system.
I'll try to be basic - they've got a 500-word limit here. I encoded the video as audio-only then mixed that with the two songs and used that mix as the audio when i did the final encoding.
