  • gulliver smiles to much

  • The sequence where the tiny Lilliputians are sewing Gulliver a new outfit while singing was later mirrored in the scene in Disney's "Cinderella" where the mice make her a ball gown from her stepsisters' discards while singing an upbeat version of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes."

    Disney stole from the best.

  • Gulliver looks soooooooooo weird

  • Mine was some real cheap ass public domain kinda kids dvd. =)

  • LOL at the king dancing in the beginning. XD

  • Respond to this video...

  • Damn!! Gulliver is sexy!

  • Pretty song "Bluebirds in the Moonlight"

  • 7:40 to 8:02 best part of the clip the little henchman coming up with different weapons

  • a drunken gay carrier pigeon. How cliche.

  • The hot towel made me laugh.

  • where can i find it in german or serbian ??!! HELP PLS :(

  • Actually, Gabby was voiced by Jack Mercer in this film-Pinto voiced Gabby in the shorts, though.

  • @texas650 He does! XD

  • Too bad this-dvd version has added new sound FX on top of the musical numbers...Version I taped off TV in the late 90s does not have them....

  • @brutusmuerto Haha I was gonna say; I kept hearing the richochet sound from Goldeneye 64 in this movie.

  • @brutusmuerto The original soundtrack is included in the DVD.

  • I had this on VHS as a kid and came here to see this clip SOLELY because I recall the little barber guy looking so much like Mario. I'm aware that Mario wasn't created back in the 1940s, but the resemblence is crazy.

Anyway, thanks for the video. Don't know how you managed such a clean upload of this super-old movie, but it's great.

  • @dhylec you're too right!! haha. gotta love this movie i still have it on VHS brings back memories watching it as a kid!

  • @texas650 Your right! I didn't know Mario was invented in 1939!

  • love that bird :3

  • Excellent animation.

  • gabby rules

  • I love that little guy with red hair lol 7:40

  • lol at 3:52 that bird cracks me up

  • It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day is the song from Gulliver's Travels that is most known because it was used in many future Paramount cartoons as background music or sung by different people.

  • the two bigger spies remind me of birds mainly vultures..

  • Ele parece o Paulo Portas!!

  • THIS CARTOON ARE VERY VERY VERY CUTE

  • wow...we waas this good at making handdrawn movies already in the 1940:s?

  • 1:52 if that was happening to me, i'd be screaming for him not to cut me with that thing.

  • Totally! I'd crap my pants cause of nervosity:S

  • lol yeah! everything is scary when the scythe is present.

  • Awsome!

  • I like how the Lilliputians are familiar with swing dancing from the 1940's!

  • Have you seen the way Gabby looks at Gulliver? He gives him as much attention as possible.

  • haha. the slingshot!

  • Have you seen that when Gulliver pulls Gabby out of his pocket and when he puts on his boots the animation is very different.

  • Different animators between shots. That's rotoscoping for you.

  • a lot of people cut the song in half

  • The Pigeons meant to be an idiot. Ha Ha, May Luck Be with you, this predated Star Wars And May The Force Be With You!

  • Animation of Gulliver is just perfect. Like a real human.

  • That's because he was rotoscoped. That's what the Flescher Studios did all the time. They film a live action character and trace the animation over it.

  • in 1939 it wasent a haphappy toodalloodal day for Europe

  • the little henchman's clapping at 7:40 cracks me up

  • Me too.

    Every time!^^

  • thax

  • if you guys love movies like this, check out urduja here in youtube.

  • Goofy, really? Wow, big difference!

  • in many ways, the fleischers were way better than disney!

  • indeed,first sound animations,and first action animated series(superman).

  • They were rivals at the time. LOL

  • The barber at 1:51 looks more than a little like Mario.

  • This is great thanks I am a HUGE fan of Pinto Colvig.

  • is it just me, or does the carrier pigeon look a little bit drunk?

  • the little spy is hilarious

  • WOW! the lighting on gulliver is like nothing I've ever seen!

  • NAIL BUFFING!!! 02.41! bizarre how thats the thing my child mind remembered. Must have been at least ten years since i've seen this. I can sing along to the songs and mouth along most of the dialogue! Whoop!

  • Me to I used have this on VHS as a kid, man it must of been more than 10 years for me, about 7 or 8 when I stopped watchin it but man do i remember the songs and I used to always crap myself when he woke up haha

  • Really? Pinto does Gabby's voice? Now there's something I've learned today.

I think you spelled his name right on and yeah, he did the voice of Disney's Goofy back in the old days :D
