  • love the video. but maybe you should have used potsticker wrappers and not wonton wrappers. after all, you did get a potsticker press.

  • i wonder id you could make this with some chicken, im not a fan of shrimp. Great video!

  • is that knife really sharp? Lol! it looks like a toy knife haha! cute!

  • If you use the back of a spoon it will shave the ginger perfectly while preserving most of it, cheers ;D

  • i totally love Asian culture and food, but I'm not Asian. A well rounded person learns and experiences all cultures. Love the vid! Thanks! Joules

  • @luxeandlace that is so wierd in the uk they are called spring oignons and shallots are like smaller, stronger oignons

  • I like how you explained why you were using more or less of stuff. I do the same when I cook so it's nice to know the reason rather than following a recipe strictly.

  • there are actually dumpling skins you can buy instead of using the wonton ones. i think you'll get better results when you use those! (since wonton ones are square shaped, and dumpling ones are round)

  • can you do a hair tutorial i love the way your hair look

  • I have frozen Pot Stickers with the exact same filling inside, which I just bought from a huge Asian market here. And now I'm going to boil it instead of frying it, and I think that should cut a few more calories from it. I will definitely make the dipping sauce for it, it looks so delish! Thanks Alexandra for going out of your way to film your cooking tips with us. You're soooooooo nice and sweet! Btw, where did you purchase your adorable pink cutlery set? I want to get a pair now.

  • This video was done so well, and I'm absolutely going to make these. I've always liked you, but now that I see how Asian-centric you are, I like you a lot more. I'm the same... Caucasian with an Asian filling! Haha! Your pink kitchen utensils and cutting board are adorable, and probably make cooking extra fun. I live in NYC, and shop at the Asian markets in Chinatown, at least monthly. You just added a few extra ingredients to my grocery list. Oh, I loved your little water bowl, too.

  • crazy crazy stuff so much pink pink knife pink chopsticks pink cutting board crap

  • this looks yummy .. but its kinda hard to follow you with 1/3 of your ingredients .. lol ..and now im starving . thanks .. =)

  • I just got back from living in S Korea for a year. I use chopsticks all the time for various uses. Honestly, I think they're better and it's fun!

  • i'm confused why you have loads of asian cultery? do you just like it or what?

  • I love the fact that you embrace the Asian culture!!! Culture is essential and people should step out of their own little box sometimes. Keep doing your thing love!!! We love you!

Thank you for all your hard work & effort in putting this wonderful video together; it really shows & it's appreciated!! <3

  • Hmmm...yummy!!!

Are u wearing your new CC lipstick?

  • One good tip to stop yr choppin board from moving abt...damp a little cloth and put yr chop board over it...wen u finishd chopping board, you can reuse the cloth to mop up any mess and then rise :)

    xxx

  • Why did you live in China(if I remember correctly), if you don't mind me asking? :)

  • @inflamedbullet she was teaching english. i remember that she said that.

  • awww it's so cute that you use chopsticks! :)

  • I'm Asian (half actually) and I just found your channel. Loved this recipe tutorial! You did a wonderful job! I'm going to have to recreate this at home when I go home from school for the wknd :) Definitely do more!

  • LOVE this video. You are really good at demonstrating cooking. It's a form of art and I appreciate this a lot! Hope you do some more like this one :)

  • thanx for the recipe i made them today and they came out delicious

  • omg I am in love with your all your pink utensils!! .. especially the chop sticks and knives! .. where did you get them??

  • That recipe is really awesome and I love the way yours came out! They look soooo good! Cute knife and cutting board lol I love pink!

  • Hey there, good job! I've found that my cutting board doesn't slip around if I place a damp towel (or paper towel) under it! Just thought I'd throw that out there! Love your vids!

  • Elliebeth's comment was ignorant and narrow-minded. I'm a Caucasian student who also studied abroad last year, in Seoul, and I can always sympathize with your nostalgia. It opened my eyes to a whole new culture, and I try hard not to forget what I've learned and experienced. And half the world cooks Chinese food, what's the big deal?? Kudos to you for having had such a valuable and enriching time abroad. A lot of students go on exchange just to drink and party.

    P.S. Love your pink knives!

  • I worry about your white shirt with that soya sauce ;)

  • where can buy your pink knives?? I love it..

  • Second, the comment by elliebeth is tremendously shallow and unkind. You don't look awkward; you're trying something new and are not a professional chef. Also, I applaud how interested you are in the Asian culture; learning about and exposing oneself to other cultures is what makes people less ethnocentric, which elliebeth is very far away from understanding. Embracing other cultures does not mean that one looses or lacks pride in one's heritage; thinking otherwise seems like bigotry to me.

  • @e001r Thank you :) xoxo

  • Two things I must say. First, I think it is a great idea to share with your subscribers a part of you that we haven't seen before. The fact that you are preparing a recipe "live" which you hadn't tried before makes it genuine and natural. Many people avoid cooking because they are insecure and also expect themselves to cook like professional chefs. Your video is down to earth. (part I).

  • Your so cute! I enjoyed your video and now I'm going to go look for pink knives lol! Thanks for sharing this with us!!

  • @cargirl5000 It is, but people almost always call it 'deveining'. That way they don't have to think about what it actually is. :P

  • i dont know if anyone else posted this but peeling ginger can be done really easily using a spoon. just scrape the ginger under warm running water. you waste less and its usually really clean :D hope that helps.

  • What a dumb girl..

  • @MajicSIns lol. you obviously know nothing about her then. she is a college grad with a very successful career and her own jewelry business on etsy. so, sorry..just because she isn't a professional chef doing a cooking tutorial doesn't make her dumb. you're quite dumb for being so rude.

  • nice! do more videos like this!!

  • You can peel ginger with a spoon. It's easy and you don't waste any.

  • @elliebeth yikes!

  • @elliebeth omg elliebeth you so rude. your probably some stupid fat mess living in alaska with your 13 cats. Anyway i love this video:) it just shows your versatility and that your not afraid to be out of your comfort zone, keep up the great work:)

  • @elliebeth and what's she trying to be that she is definately not?

  • @elliebeth wondering if you've ever heard of humility or ever taken any sensitivity courses. cuz darlin' you need it!.. she's expanding her own mind and sharing it with us. What if someone said that to you?..Think before you speak.

  • @elliebeth Wow she is trying to be helpful so you being a loser isn't helpful and maybe you should get a hobby

  • @elliebeth shut up twat

  • @elliebeth She does not look awkward i like that she is showing us healthy eating styles i want her to do more videos like this it gives us more of a chance to know more about her, and she never said that she wasn't proud of her own heritage. she lived in asia to teach so she obviously grew accustomed to their culture. besides who care is she likes to explore other cultures. it's healthy. everyone should do that, then maybe there would be less prejudices and racism

  • @elliebeth i hate ya

  • @elliebeth Maybe you should expand your horizons a little more and be open to learning more about other cultures instead of being so sheltered in your own. Being worldly and open minded to new experiences does not make one weird.

  • Great job! I love the videos you make. I think I have that magazine. I'm gonna go look for it now.

  • Are you sure it's a vein you're cutting out in the back? I thought it was the intestine?
