  • 透明感と伸びやかさでジーンとくる

  • Congratulations! A very beautiful work. Thank you very much.

  • Este foi um dos primeiros LPs que eu tive na vida... Acho q eu tinha 7 anos qdo ganhei... Rever a capa e o selo dá uma nostalgia quase insuportável :o)

  • thirty some years later and her voice is still better than viaga.

  • It seems there's an alternate take from 2:30 because the way she sings "why don't you come to your senses"... Seems the quad mixes occasionally used slightly different lead vocal takes or something...

  • Excellent! Beautifully done! Thank you for posting this.

  • Karen's beautiful voice heals my broken heart. Thank you,Karen.

  • Also, I mean older Carpenters with your lovely mixing :D Pleeeease!

  • Please do more Carpenters sound remastering!!!

  • What a lovely tribute to Ms. Carpenter. Thank you.

  • As always, pure perfection never goes out of style. Love such a great song and putting all the pics together to match the song is amazing.

  • Ottimo lavoro ! Grazie per aver postato questo capolavoro della musica .

La voce di Karen è unica ed ineguagliabile. Grazie ancora.

  • Dead because some no life having P.O.S. concert reviewer called her "pudgy" in his review and she never got over it.. being a bulimic the rest of her life.. Rot in hell you SHYTASS reviewer.

  • @contour157 Actually, I believe it was her mother who called her chunky or something similar. That goes much deeper than any reviewer could impose.

  • The final slide in your video shows a 45 record sleeve -- Was that a sleeve from another country? I wasn't aware Desperado was released as a single in the US.

  • February 4, 1983... It doesn't seem like it has been 28 years since the untimely death of Karen Carpenter and it's now 2011. The years since have flown by. Karen Carpenter has been and will always be my favorite female vocalist. Kare, wherever you are, you are missed greatly by your fans. May you continue to rest in peace.

  • Karen Carpenter speaking to a lonely cowboy in his dreams. Hopefully he woke up and came to his senses.

  • While we Karen's fan's think this one of her best readings of a song... She never liked it... This song also reminds me alot of the late Heath Ledger whenever I hear it... I am Karen took Heath under her wing when he arrived at the gates of Heaven..

  • I had heard your other postings in QUAD for Carpenters but must have missed this one! And one of my favorites too. Will you be releasing more tracks soon?

  • I'm miss you Carpenters ~~You are best!!

  • Glad to see there are ZERO dislikes on this because it is without question one of Karen's very best vocal recordings. So dynamic and intense - when she gets into the bridges to the chorus it always gives me goosebumps and makes me cry a little. Why this wasn't considered for single release is beyond me. Stunning -thanks mboy for your hard work and perfection in getting this HQ track loaded.

  • @falldownhard

I'm guessing that this would have been released too close to the Eagles' version, which is why they didn't release as a single in 1975. Karen's vocal performances on this album are beyond stunning. And only 25 years old.

  • GREAT SOUND , REVERB / DELAY A LITTLE OTT. IN MY OPINION . BUT NONETHELESS , GOOD TO LISTEN TO .

  • Also----

GREAT JOB on this video! Obviously a labor love. Great sound, picture and sentiment.

  • The whole album sounds superb when you listen on a true quad system. I'm very lucky to have a re-built one with reel to reel deck and Q-8 track player with turntable.

If you REALLY want to be blown away, you have to hear "Now and Then" LP in this format.

The picture at :23 is from the Don Kirschner Rock Concert tribute to Jim Croce, late 1974.

    Also--the

  • @NostalgiaBob

Great photo! I love how Karen looked in late 74.

  • Brilliant work + masterpiece art.

  • @alicha07 - Thank you....it was a labor of love!

  • so amazing. thanks THEmotownboy. im looking forward to see more Quad Mix version of carpenters music made by you.

  • Motownboy - that photo of Rich and Karen (0:23) with Karen in the green blazer. Is that 1975 or 1976?

  • amazing work, as always....

  • WOW!

    amazing.

    i love it.

  • Beautifully done. Karen's gorgeous rendition of Desperado does the Eagles proud, and I expect they enjoyed it.

  • This is AWESOME - THE motownboy, I'd pay you good money for a CD of these cleaned up quad mixes from the Carpenters. Just stunning.

  • Who IS this motownboy????!!!! Audio sounds terrific and the video is very well done. Congratulations.

  • Awesome! Great video with an amazing vocal performance by Karen Carpenter!

  • Your video, audio, concept, effort, care and so much more that goes into your creation is simply PHENOMENAL!!
