no seriously, Thats what I do right now, I build these and other engines for people that like to race and/or add performance.

Sure you can get more horsepower and torque out of these engines, You bet you can.

But what most of my customers dont understand is you need to get the torque onto the pavement otherwise all you have is one expensive racket maker. gear ratio and tire size makes the diff in a competitive senario.

well not to sound like an dick because i do love the RX family, but i have a 67 mustang whos clock has doubled over a few times and still runs 12 second 1/4 miles and all it has is a 2.5" dual exhaust, tracton bars, 16" pony rims from the 95 model wrapped in bf goodrich tires, not too much but it is running fairly nice for a 42 year old V8 that has more miles than it can count. but i know what goes on around me not just my world so i respect all cars, and not many people can say that

Please stop being a child. I love both V8's and rotaries but for different reasons. The reason a V8 runs longer without a rebuild can be related to the amount of money spent developing the ottocycle. If you would flip the coin and invest the same amount of money in rotaries it would'nt surprise me if they got about the same gasmilage and milage before a rebuild is needed. WTF are you talking about? Obviously you haven't driven one properly. To get power out of one, you have to drive in high rpms. Rotaries only wake up to make power above 3500 rpm. They aren't made to launch off like a muscle car you'd imagine, but when the car is moving, they are really beasts. Look up 20B AE86, he takes off so fast because the engine is in high rpms and moving at 100 km/h.
