  • Kill the dogs that are barking, I m not able to hear what trainer is saying.

  • Ahhhh!!! I love Great Danes!!! hahaha (: I'm sooo glad they used one for this video!

  • @wewa Cesar Millan does not use a choke collar. He uses the 25 cent leashes that loops around the dogs neck. It does not hurt them and theres a huuugggee difference between that leash and a choke collar.

  • @RockAndRollRockOn I just watched a video of using a prong collar and seriously checking an aggressive dog- who actually reacted because Cesar tightened the lead and checked him. Cesar's a fraud, behind all the smoke and mirrors.

  • Training with treats like this does't realistically work. There's a reason Milan is where he is today. Cesar's way works.

  • @edaker66 But his way is not the only working way. One of many. Good one, for shure. But the best ? I'm not shure.

  • @Dajmito The method that Milan uses IS where it starts fundamentally for controlling behavior.

It's based on psychology and nature, because there is no such thing as reasoning with a dog.

  • @edaker66 Cesar's method is not based on psychology or nature. It's based on flawed interpretations of captive wolf packs...that's hardly nature.

  • @mydogkanskidrums You're wrong. Read his book. You will change your opinion.

  • @edaker66 I've read his first three books and seen his programmes many, many times. Trust me, his view has nothing to do with accurate canine behaviour...whether that be wolves or domestic dogs. His methods are harsh and train through intimidation. Anyone who learns to read dog body language (which Cesar never consults properly on the programme) can see dogs are uncomfortable whilst being 'rehabilitated'. We don't need to do this, though.

  • @mydogkanskidrums But guess what, dogs don't take it personally, only humans do. That's the point.

  • @edaker66 So it's okay to put dogs through fear and intimidation? I don't think so. People who train Grizzly bears or whales don't go around kicking and 'redirecting' through 'touch' do they? No, because they'd get killed instantly if something went wrong. So should dogs have to be put through it? I take it personally when I see a dog that can't be touched around the neck because he's used to being jabbed by hands, and who snaps and tries to bite purely for that reason.

  • @mydogkanskidrums Ok now your being intellectually dishonest. First off we are not talking about "training" wild animals. Domesticated pets are different than wild animals. Let's not make assumptions about how wild animal trainer do their job when we're not in the profession. Millan proves his techniques work with evidence shown in his own dogs and all the dogs that go though his rehabilitation center. His dogs are not scared or try to snap at him. I don't know where you see this. It's not true.

  • @edaker66 Millan's 'dogs' are not his dogs. Do you really think that a person as big as him has the time to work with all 30-40 dogs? His show has different dogs on because his centre was a boarding centre and only the best dogs made it on the show. His methods work for short periods- it's called flooding or learned helplessness. Dogs stop doing behaviours because they've been punished- most take it (but it doesn't fix the underlying problem) and some retaliate on him- that's why he gets bitten

  • @mydogkanskidrums Stop clogging up my email with BULLSHIT! Get over it! At 23 you still have a lot to learn!

  • @edaker66 At least at 23 I can put my point across professionally and with evidence. I just hope you, as a dog owner, take the time to find out proper practice.

  • This woman doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground.

  • I love Sirius training! It isn't about abuse - it's about teaching.

  • If dog jumps on you make a step towards her instead of back. She would sit then without any question asked.. You should newer step back when dog jumps on you.

  • I once told her for an hour walk for an hour. I get home, take a quick piss, and than I see 6 PILES of fresh shit spread though out the living room. Oh, and two piles of piss too.

  • It's not the dog it's the owner. Your dog can only learn as much as you know.

  • Are you saying I shit on the floor or my dog can learn to read?

  • I can't hear anything she's saying. All I hear is another dog barking.

  • yeah train the dog with treat reward based and you'll earn the human treat bag.. they'll just exploit you spoiling them.. the same with spoilt kids these days because their parents don't know how to scold/discipline their incorrect behaviour... kudos to milan!

  • Hearing the other dog barking so much is getting annoying -_-

  • This video is sad. i know 4french mastiffs they are very smartthey will take advantage of every mistake you make

When dog jumps you have to pop your knee out, not hurting them If itdoesn't work try grabbing their paws and lightly squeeze Keep doing that until they get it. Most dogs learn after 3 trys. White rat will take 4ever B cuz of peanut brain Always correct dog if doing something you don't like. Reward them with affection they think your a human treat bag!

  • Yeah, we can see James spreading those cheeks and shouting victory

  • ok that dog looks like it needs more food instead of training..& that white dog is so annoying, now teach it to shut the hell up.

  • u just save us us $100 on training

  • Yeah because wolves in a pack regularly discipline pack members with treats ????

Promethansfire get a human partner and lose your virginity.

And stop investing all your emotions in dogs. They do not understand, and you just fuck them up.

  • Idiot. A Wolf pack is nothing more than a breeding pair, the pups and possibly a sibling of the pair. You need to stop fucking your father and calling it sex

  • That person is giving the dog too much eye contact. If she wasn't it would be easier.

  • My dogs never jump on people, because they were always taught to sit for food and attention.

  • lucky...i have 6 dogs

  • This method would take a very long time for the dog to learn not to jump up.

  • Like 5 minutes.

  • One more thing. She should have had an assistant helping her. Then she could have demonstrated how to do the behavior while someone else spoke, much easier that way.

  • Cesar uses choke collars, hitting the dogs with his fingers, and making a negative noise. He's punishment based. If you like him, that's fine, but that's what he is. Yes, he uses some dog behavioral research... that's 20 years old, but he does use it. Time to read more than his works. Let me recommend "Bones Would Rain From the Sky."

  • that dog kind of suck or trainer (freedom of speech) lmao.

  • nerves**

  • Cesar is NOT PUNISHMENT BASED ! I GUESS U DONT WATCH THE SHOW THAT OFTEN.. OR MAYBE U WATCH THE BEGINNING WHEN HE'S TRYIN TO TEACH THA DOG NOT TO BITE THA FRIGGEN OWNER THEN TURN OFF THA TV... other than that i'd say thats a pretty ignorant statement b/c he always teaches to REWARD the dog when they learn the right things to do. Haterz get on my nervea

  • Millan is nothing but punishment. Once he has achieved learned helplessness through hitting, kicking the dog he calls it calm and gives affections. he would make a great abusive spouse as this is the same technique they use : they hit and then tell the victims they love them.

  • That is not true he uses compassion and love for animals I have watched what he does he uses many singnals that tell the dog that he/she needs to listen there are ways of doing things and there are ways of not doing things Milan uses the same tactics I do to train dogs and there is no abuse no kicking, hitting you need to watch more of his videos of what he does.

  • Millan has the worst show about dogs to ever appear on TV. He has no idea how dogs communicate, he always misses the signals that dogs give and imposes his moronic explanations about"dog psychology".

  • Ditto

  • Anyone want to observe PrometheansFire getting put into his place?

Go search "Dog Whisperer -- Corrections".

  • have ou ever watched "its me or the dog!" thats the worst she soesnt even do anything. At least ceaser actually does something

  • Absolutely.. thank you.. so many people put shit on milan but i know as well as anyone that he is a great trainer. I too am a dog trainer and I love his methods i have a very successful Cattle sog because of his methods. Thanks for sticking up for Milan

  • ok this is wierd

  • This video stinks, she was totally handling the wrong dog, that little dog should have been dealt with first.

  • strangle tht lil yappy dog

  • lol the little white dog is annoying

  • I totally disagree with saying Cesar's style is punishment-based. Do you not realize most of the series he shows are dogs that are so out of control or the pet owners even say you are our last resort or we were going to get rid of the dog etc...So what would you rather have him doing what he does best or have a dog die! Give me a figging break! Cesar Rocks!

How can you complain about something he does so well and it is proof he does it! pfft@your video saying he uses punishment!

  • Surprised - took a long time to teach and still jumping up? Judy was so clever too. Yapping dog - perhaps needs some disciplin? Not a class for my danes - sorry.

  • i couln't hear a thing

  • i fucking hate yappy dogs.

  • can some please shut up that maltees

  • Thank you! I couldn't watch the entire video with all the yap-yapping in the back ground...and I have four dogs!

  • id like to hear what she was saying but that dam yapper wouldnt shut up .

  • I disagree w/ saying Cesar's style is punishment-based. He gently corrects and will put a dog in place if they are misbehaving. This is no more punishment-based than what the dog would experience in a pack of dogs.

  • sorry, but a pack of dogs would not own/use a choke collar...

  • Right- they use their teeth! Sometimes the alpha rolls the challenger & will bite & clamp the neck until the challenger submits. The choke collar ( simulates this biting) should be only used by a trained owner on a as needed basis.

  • haha, very true.

  • @wewa but they will use their teeth

  • @wewa No, but they do roll a disobedient members and will hold them by the neck in their jaws if needed.

  • @wewa you said a pack of dogs dont own choke collars but they dont give each other rewards for being good either o.0? (i mean no disrespect in anyway) and i like cesars style i also use treat based training to though ^-^

  • @utubepunk

Cesars methods are based on positive punishment and negative reinforcement.

There is no way you can argue with that - it's science. :)

  • Love the Dane!!! Very beautiful dog!

I LOVE the dog whisperer!! Shows just how smart dogs are and what they want from us - pack leader etc.

  • i love the dog whisperer too. Caesar Malan is amazing

  • he said in the tape...this dvd does not teach your dog how to sit, stay, lay down, thats dog training something completely different
