ya, I agree RW. Microsoft didnt make computer hardware, so how is it part of the history? Apple made hardware, then the PC competed with it. MS made software for computer hardware companies, but never made a computer, or developed it's own OS until the 90s. (resold DOS, developed windows with IBM)

We all know the "i" was used for internet back when the first iMac was introduced, but you have to admit that it kind of has a nice ring to it. I mean iTunes, iWeb, iDVD,etc. Anyway Apple does not copy Microsoft (it's actually vice versa)! The truth is that Apple was/is/wil be more advanced than Microsoft. For example, the Powerbook was the fastest and best computer for more than 5 years. No one could reach it's potential.

The inventor(s) of the first computer is credited to a multitude of people, some dating back as 100 BC with the Antikythera Mechanism, while others are more recent such as Charles Babbage and Herman Hollerith, the latter born in America. It's your opinion if our history is boring or not, but I have yet to see any European men land on the moon yet. Yes our history is more recent, but that doesn't remove its importance.

Steve Jobs and Woz did so much more for the industry though. They were the ones who came up with the mouse and the the monitor after a visit with Xerox. This video did not cover that very important aspect.
