  • it would be awesome to see them arrive at a beach to see how it was back then.

  • No wonder why Germany lost....US have ducks as their secret weapon!

  • This is a Higgins boat or LCVP "Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel" (LCVP) not an LST "Landing Ship Tank" which is a lot bigger. Please look them both up. Thanks

  • That is not an LST. they are much bigger, 382 feet long. My brother in law served on one during WW2.

  • your brother in law?

    is he 90 years old?

  • Comment removed

  • There LST (landing ship tank) or "large slow target" the 904 was built here in Pittsburgh by Davro on Neville Island. They took it down the Ohio and Mississippi rivers then through the Panama Canal to the Pacific. He was a signalman

  • my grandpa welded on du LST

  • He 8s about 83 years old now.

  • Oh sorry haven't seen your age , a brother in law who served in WW2 sounded kind of odd :)

  • It can be true u know!!.. 1 in my family is 93 ! and shes my neighbour !!

  • I know it can be true but an 83 year old brother in law sounded absurd until I visited his userpage , which made everything clear )

  • when was this event?!?! i want to feel like a soldier in WWII

  • I wasnt,i was saying it to Mojorizzon84,because he said ''these fukn reenactments suck my balls''.

  • LST-325 is the former SYROS of the Greek navy. When the veterans where restoring it in Souda bay Crete, my mother being with the customs helped them with their paperwork. Being a ship fan, they gave me an exclusive one-day only-me tour on the ship as a gift. :-)Alas it was 8 years ago...

  • wow going in the landing craft looks fun ^^

  • do they have reenactements of the rest of d-day? like the paratrooper drops and the landings on Juno and Gold?

  • zomg Buffalo!

  • those vehicles r so slow no offense

  • well, its not a bass boat. its a transport boat and its 60 years old. they had to drive them slow out of the dock but when they got to open water they moved a little more. the water buffalo was slow anyway. the tracks on the vehicle are its propeller.

  • those are lcvps

    ( landign craft vehicle personel)
