dude the album version of this song was great dont let these ideots make you think it otherwize.....on another note THANKS for uploading this its real cool !!!
this music note is a terrible alternative image. how bout some awesome pic of a nighttime neighborhood street or something..... anywho thanks hella lots for poastin this. it makes me happy
I'd say it's a matter of opinion. I prefer this version bc it's got a Marley meets Sublime feel to it, I could definitely chill on the beach to this. The album version is great in its own respect, but the picking and the beat are totally different.
man does the music in the background of this sound like sublimes shit, im not saying they copied, its actually pretty bad ass...im a hardcore third eye fan, and been getting into sublime haha so i noticed that.
It might have been influenced by them, but keep in mind that Sublime was certainly not the first band to have this sound. Sublime was inspired by ska which was inspired by reggae. I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
can someone please tell us all how to get these songs!!!they are excellent but i can only listen to them on youtube and thats really anoying? so if sumone could just help the million ppl who want these demos, that would be great
I think the music to the demo should be applied to a more suitable song, because the lyrics go better with the album version, most notably the "oh oooh, oh ooooh" part.
I agree the album version is more complete but SJ's voice is a little bit smoother in this, but then again his voice now sounds good so I guess whgatever. The big question is when the album is coming out we;ve all waited too long...
The quality of the song posted isn't that great.. I also kinda prefer the album version. But that's not to say that I don't recognize the parts of the demo that are better.
I mainly prefer the album version 'cause I feel the scale/key it's in fits with the song more.
its awesome, it sounds like happier than the album version... less complete but still bad ass.

There's a 1994 demo, and a pre-1997 demo of this song. This one is 1994. I, too, perfer the demo ones over the studio one.

I like this version better. It's very pure. Low quality but that's the thing you sacrifice to hear the band at their best.
