in our cultures is actually extremely small. i think the fact that we all originated from africa is a beautiful discovery because it shows how we are all one. we are not all 'from' africa..we are from the country we were born in with ancestral roots to africa (as well all the stops along the way). if we want to talk about in on a unified scale then how about saying we are all from 'earth'? this is our home and we need to take care of it as well as our ancestral brothers and sisters.

in our cultures is actually extremely small. i think the fact that we all originated from africa is a beautiful discovery because it shows how we are all one. we are not all 'from' africa..we are from the country we were born in with ancestral roots to africa (as well all the stops along the way). if we want to talk about in on a unified scale then how about saying we are all from 'earth'? this is our home and we need to take care of it as well as our ancestral brothers and sisters.

we all originated from africa, yes, but i feel that this fact sometimes gives less intelligent african-americans a sense of 'originality'. i am white and have 3 sisters that are black and 1 brother through adoptions so this isn't a post of racism. the point i want to get across is that in learning our origins, an idea such as 'higher importance' is not what should be taken out of it. what should be taken out of it is how litter we differ and how the boundaries that seem so concrete

I would like to ask the dying group of racists and i am not talking just black vs white but all ethnic groups "How come every Man and Woman on Earth can produce Beauiful fertile young and yet be treated like different species". @Joan6000 Yes, Europe has been very innovative since the end of the medieval period. But if you have read history you would know that many cultures have had their "golden ages" in different times. We just happen to live in a time where the western culture is dominant. Thsi doesn't mean that it hasn't borrowed many things from other cultures. That is why you should be more humble.

It is far known that the first humans existed in Africa, hence, since we all are humans, our ancestors (first ones) came from... AFRICA! Why the skin color? The body is more resistant to heat if you have black skin. That's the only reason. :) Let's love and respect eachother, forget about religion and just fucking enjoy life!

Nice video and yep "Lucy" is my Mama, I find certain glee in informing ignorant conservatives that we are all black and that our skin color is merely derived from the melanin in our skin. North of the equator, less sun, less melanocytes = probable pale skin. South of the equator, more sun, more melanocytes = probable dark skin. It's evolution.
