See this is the difference between Vegas and Kentucky, look at all the space you have, you could go round 3 wide quite easy. But Vegas was only for 2 wide. And what caused that big crash that sadly took Dan away from us was someone trying to go 3 wide, and we all saw the result of it.
I was there for both the NASCAR race and the Indy Car race. Indy cars aren't as exciting because they are wide open, but they almost always give a good finish. NASCAR is overal more impressive though due to the massive size of the cars. I'd go back and see them both again next year if I was able to. The NASCAR race obviously needs a little more parking though..
So much better than NASCAR the only reason there was not as many fans is because Americans have become so brainwashed by neckcars marketing!! They think it is more exciting
@glenghiskhan100 I agree. Just look at ACornyProduction's comment!! Indycar is way more exciting then NASCAR! Faster cars, way better racing, no bullshit cautions and penalties!
Where are the fans? I was there for NASCAR and it was a huge crowd. The IndyCars didn't get no fans? What up? That's a very small crowd. I heard they were running an IndyCar race at kentucky when I was at the NASCAR race but couldn't make it to this one. Wow. I cou've had any seat I wanted almost.
@9harryrct3babzak9 You get a certain number of times you can press a button on the steering wheel that gives you like an extra 50hp. Its not that when you run out of "overtakes" you can't pass anybody anymore.
@TheSpiralZeroTheory Well, you must know, that he knows the 2012 chassis better than the current IICS drivers. So when he doesn't get a full season seat, the IndyCar team owner are just stupid.
I have a question, PLEASE dont hate im trying to understand....In NASCAR sometimes its good to take a real high line and get the xtra RPMs off the turn, how come the car on the outside didnt try and move up like that. does that not really work with these cars? Also do these cars have good side draft or is the air too broken up by the "openness" and just staying so close because the guy on the outside was trying to squeesh the other down low to hurt entry of the guy down low?
@killerbng i think it´s because the indycars have more downforce and they are lighter, so they are always on the throttle for the whole lap, so it doesn´t make such a difference whether you are on the higher or the lower site. but i´m not very sure, so don´t blame me if this is wrong ;)
@Woberer I think you're absolutely right. Thanks to their wings they've got so much more downforce than a NASCAR. That's why they can go flat out on the lower site. And because the lower site is shorter than the higher site, the lower car gains a bit on the higher car.

You guys are more than welcome to disagree on this, but indycar on these type of tracks to me is not racing! I'm glad they aren't coming back there
