@PuddingnShortbuses The piercings that you can switch yourself is an actual bar that goes all the way through. However, I would never recommend getting those. I had them before my dermals and they hurt so much worse and leave AWFUL scars, they also get infected really easy. And you can definantly get a massage, most masuses know how to work around them. @PuddingnShortbuses I have my dermals done so I figured I could answer your questions. Dermals are completely permanent until you want them taken out. Usually the piercer can take them out no problem, unless they get infected then you have to have them removed by a doctor, but dermals RAELY get infected. Dermal anchors are not the kind you yourself can screw on and off, if you want different disks you have to get the piercer to do it for you.

And is that the type that you can screw different tops onto, like say a pink stone for a week then a blue one? If not then what is that type called? Can you get that area massaged or will it pull and mess it up?

@Rambo18Colt you cant, it has to be removed surgically, or by the piercer. they are permanent, but brilliant to have, so like a tattoo, make sure its what you definitely want or you'll be left with a nice scar :')

@ihearthellokittyexoh My venoms hurt a lot more than my hips. Just make sure you go to a good piercer! This piercer is doing it wrong, he forces the dermal into the skin causing a lot more pain then he should... He should be using a tool to separate the two layers of skin to slip the dermal in.

i got mine in vegas. i also checked out several places in orlando (where i live) and the average cost for a single anchor is usually $50-$80 an anchor. Iv purchased single anchors from a wholesale tatto/piercing company online and a single anchor is 9.99 and the different heads are usually 9.99 for 4 tops for the anchor. so the price the artist charges is actually fair.

i have 2 dermal anchors in my back, nipples pierced, belly pierced 2x, christina piercing, and my nose n tongue pierced. By far my dermals hurt the most. they can pierce u w a large guage needle or a dermal punch. you feel everything. good luck! iv had mine for a year and had it torn out from my jeans. i was able to have it put back in bc of the hole still being open enough since it wasnt fully healed

rejecting means your body really just doesnt want it there and pushes the piercing out in defense in order to heal and fix itself. its a natural reaction but it sucks when you WANT it there.

the body will bleed terb. to try to push it out... or when and if it heals the body will push it out. Surface is where their is two ends top and bottom... or left to right like a hip surface piercing is when you put a metal rod under the skin and back out in another side Dermals are the most risky when it comes to body rejections.

The rejection rate of any surface piercing is super high. Theres no point in getting surface piercings, I feel. As they really usually last for a few months before your body rejects them. The dermal anchors are worth so much more of your money.

The hips were not too bad actually. The process is less then five minutes total. I recommend getting the piercings. My tatoos were way worse due to sitting in one spot for so long. Good luck and I hope all goes well.
