Are you using charcoal or regular pencil? I can do something with about 75% that detail within 7 hours using charcoal.

yeah well to be specific they're called STAEDTLER pencils, I have different degrees of them (HB, 2B, 3B etc etc) so I didnt just use one pencil. I recommend those they're very good for shading. Thanks

well, for me it all comes down to how much time and effort you are willing to put into the drawing, but of course to draw portraits you also need to have good eye-hand co-ordination, I draw portraits free handed but if you feel you cant do that yet, then you can use photo tracing or a grid for the layout, I've never used those methods but I've heard it's supposed to be good for beginners.
