FYI With Greenpois0n on os4.2.1, using a custom bootlogo is easy, you can even use animated logos.

click on Edit at the top then click on copy or paste. Or if your on a pc i think the quick command is ctrl+alt+C for copy and ctrl+alt+V for paste. Or its ctrl+C for copy and ctrl+V for paste. if your on a mac its ccommand+C to copy and command+V to paste

yes you do have to jailbreak but if u dont want to jailbreak then, download LogoMe from Cydia and you can use a custom image for a boot logo without rejailbreaking it. but the image has to be smaller than 320x480 px

do u have the actual 2.0.2 ipod firmware? you must download the correct restore firmware.

yes but the image has to be smaller that 320x480 px and less than 100kb and it needs an alpha layer

as an alternative edit an image, upload on to the internet on facebook or my space or whatever u want and copy the image link or the image url and download logome from cydia and put the image address in the search and follow the steps

Dude when you do the image size 2160 x 250 what are you trying to mean? pixel, inch, cm, percent???

And where? pixel dimensions or document size???

that was the size of the image. change the image to a smaller size so that its smaller than 100mb and make sure that its in pixel size. change the pixel dimensions

no dude it's ok because of you press costum on the top of winpwn and then you put it t recovery mode it works and you don't have to restore you ipod or iphone but thanks anyway
