I love cooking and I enjoy the Epicurious website. HOWEVER, I'm disappointed by this recipe. I'm sure that it tastes good and I don't discredit this recipe for its flavor. BUT regarding its authenticity - ESPECIALLY when advertising "around the world," this recipe is disappointing. All my years in Japan, and in professional Japanese kitchens in America, I have never seen a more American dish.
shes not chineses, she's korean. i'm korean and the broken english koreans speak is different from the japanese and chinese broken english accents.
also I can tell by the way she cooked it that she's koreanizing it alittle bit.
