this is the episode that started it all....thanx for loading....Don was a very cool man. he will be missed. life is too special to throw away. I wondered if he was killed and set up to look like suicide. from what I've read, he had a lot goin on in his life and his divorce was messy / he wanted to finalize B4 he kicked. careful who U trust...... peace Don.
@Kyreneth Sorry but you have no right judging your maker. However I would like to beleive that he has compassion and knows this man had Alzheimer's and that he was not in control of his actions either that or life had become unbearable. He was a great man and I understand what you are saying but in this state( i.e. His mental state) he may not have been fit to make this discussion. I still think he was a pioneer!!! And a great person!
@carlos25313024 Do you have any respect or even the concept of the word tact?! After all this man did not only for music but African American culture and you have the audacity to shoot your mouth off like dumb ass not even a week after his passing?!! Learn some respect before you open your mouth again
@carlos25313024 Dear god, you are an idiot. You shouldn't base your opinion of anyone on how they died, but the life they lived. If you can't respect what this man did, I don't know what to tell you. Suicide is a tragedy; you have no right to criticize someone because of that, you have NO idea what things might have been like for them. It's not the suicide that people respect, contrary to what you seem to be saying, it's the man and his accomplishments so show a little humanity and grow up.
@bjohnson55555 Oh good lord, we were all hotties back then! The main thing is these people have talent, and they worked their arses off for a long time before they had a hit. If Gladys Knight came along today, that idiot Randy Jackson would probably tell her "you're pitchy, dog."
R.I.P. Don Cornelius, I dont believe he killed himself. I think somebody else shot him and made it look like he did. Becuz it dont sound right for a 75 year old to commit suicide
Talk about working out some dance moves and singing some true S O U L ! ! ! ! ! Dang! Where has it gone? Soul Train holds the vault of true R & B music! Sing that song girl! And, listen to the lyrics... A true message! No grinding and sex necessary!! What a good time for R & B that was!!!!!
Nobody has the soul and rhythm of Gladys Knight & The Pips !!! Friendship Train as performed on the first Soul Train back in 1971 !!! I was beginning my sophmore year,(1971-72), at Miami Senior High School !! This song brings back some great memories !!!
I love Gladys Knight& the Pips, always love their music, but my husband on the other hand have a big problem, he doesn't like Gladys, he told me when he was a kid he met her, he held his hand out to shake hers and she walk right passed him, all those years he is not letting go. So right to this day if he even see her on tv he would shut it off. It's time to let go.
@JGordonPanic suck on this....... You ignorant prick. You should be watching some fails. He was the man...King of cool. before,... well apparently you came around Dick... or should I say Richard....No Dick is fitting.
@christopherpluemer ummm, what? I think you got the wrong person/comment....i was praising this music in comparison to stuff on the radio right now...lol
