  • RIP Don Cornelius Gladys is full of soul funk and groove Dig it

  • this is the episode that started it all....thanx for loading....Don was a very cool man. he will be missed. life is too special to throw away. I wondered if he was killed and set up to look like suicide. from what I've read, he had a lot goin on in his life and his divorce was messy / he wanted to finalize B4 he kicked. careful who U trust...... peace Don.

  • @Kyreneth Sorry but you have no right judging your maker. However I would like to beleive that he has compassion and knows this man had Alzheimer's and that he was not in control of his actions either that or life had become unbearable. He was a great man and I understand what you are saying but in this state( i.e. His mental state) he may not have been fit to make this discussion. I still think he was a pioneer!!! And a great person!

  • This is the image we need for our kids...Love soul regardless of my color. It's skin deep.

  • Two people are on the EnemyTrain!

  • looks like he wanted to start off black history month with a bang

  • @carlos25313024 Your an idiot and disrespectful!!!!

  • @cocodream43

it was a joke, it's not like you're related to the late great

  • @carlos25313024 Do you have any respect or even the concept of the word tact?! After all this man did not only for music but African American culture and you have the audacity to shoot your mouth off like dumb ass not even a week after his passing?!! Learn some respect before you open your mouth again

  • @FeBNucJad

I don't respect people that kill themselves and neither should you.

  • @carlos25313024 Just shut the fuck up

  • @StrawberryStina

no, i have to let people know suicide isn't right :)

  • @carlos25313024 who the fuck thinks its right? even people who commit it know its wrong. its a last resort ffs

  • @carlos25313024 There is a difference between justification and being an ass.

  • @carlos25313024 Dear god, you are an idiot. You shouldn't base your opinion of anyone on how they died, but the life they lived. If you can't respect what this man did, I don't know what to tell you. Suicide is a tragedy; you have no right to criticize someone because of that, you have NO idea what things might have been like for them. It's not the suicide that people respect, contrary to what you seem to be saying, it's the man and his accomplishments so show a little humanity and grow up.

  • @Kyreneth

I thought I was done with this page then i got an email about your paragraph :(

  • @carlos25313024 i hope ur not mexican+

  • @tazer40

    i'm actually mixed ;)

  • Loved Soul Train....loved Don and love Ms. Glady's Knight & The Pips!

  • Excellent...!!

  • two people missed the friendship train

  • Man I had a massive crush on her when I was a little kid.Such a killler band.

  • Gladys was a hottie back then!

  • @bjohnson55555 Oh good lord, we were all hotties back then! The main thing is these people have talent, and they worked their arses off for a long time before they had a hit. If Gladys Knight came along today, that idiot Randy Jackson would probably tell her "you're pitchy, dog."

  • R.I.P. Don Cornelius, I dont believe he killed himself. I think somebody else shot him and made it look like he did. Becuz it dont sound right for a 75 year old to commit suicide

  • R.I.P. Don. Always preaching Love, Peace, and SOUL!

  • Talk about working out some dance moves and singing some true S O U L ! ! ! ! ! Dang! Where has it gone? Soul Train holds the vault of true R & B music! Sing that song girl! And, listen to the lyrics... A true message! No grinding and sex necessary!! What a good time for R & B that was!!!!!

  • Don Cornelius (September 27, 1936 – February 1, 2012) "we wish you love, peace and soul!" forever.

  • The very first episode! I think over 2600 more episodes followed it. RIP Don Cornelius!

  • Phenomenal. Even by today's standards.

  • RIP DON your show changed the world you will be forever remembered and missed.

  • The beautiful and talented Ms. Knight and her Pips!

  • Gladys you are too fine mama!

  • Damn, she is cute

  • Real music

  • when are the kids today going to realise todays music is absolute crap and finally do something about it.

  • @trevgk say it again please so these kids can hear you!!!!!!!

  • @roxandra71 It's getting worse by the day, they (the kids) are too arrogant to understand.

  • this is music not the rubish of nowadays

  • Just one word : PERFECT !

    TYVM. :-)

  • Otimo !!!!!!

  • And that is NOT a weave...people were much healthier back then. Thanks for posting.

  • Nobody has the soul and rhythm of Gladys Knight & The Pips !!! Friendship Train as performed on the first Soul Train back in 1971 !!! I was beginning my sophmore year,(1971-72), at Miami Senior High School !! This song brings back some great memories !!!

  • I love Gladys Knight& the Pips, always love their music, but my husband on the other hand have a big problem, he doesn't like Gladys, he told me when he was a kid he met her, he held his hand out to shake hers and she walk right passed him, all those years he is not letting go. So right to this day if he even see her on tv he would shut it off. It's time to let go.

  • @Terry3634 pity, it must have dented his pride, she's still very good

  • big respect from Poland!

  • she looks like kelly rowland (destinys child)

  • Suck on this modern music!!!!!

  • @JGordonPanic suck on this....... You ignorant prick. You should be watching some fails. He was the man...King of cool. before,... well apparently you came around Dick... or should I say Richard....No Dick is fitting.
