@mjm1235 4.7. But if there are some other popular classes in your country (europe for example) then you should consider not buying laser yet cause ur a bit small for laser still. But if laser 4.7 is only "small/medium sized peoples class" in your country, then you should get 4.7. For radial absolute medium is probably 60kg.

@cyclespeedwaymaster you say you're in South Wales, so at your age I would recommend buying a Topper, and upgrading to a Radial when you're around sixteen. South Wales sailing scene is more centred around Toppers for youth.

I remember the first time i sailed a laser is when we put all our 420s on a mooring and we had to put the laser on a mooring but it kept capsizing so the instructor told me to sail it around the harbor, I did not expect it to heel over that much when i went through a puff, but i've made to the decision to learn to sail a laser in lighter wind xD
