  • stop talking. skip 0:52

  • Now, that's how you advertise a cheap guitar!=D

  • HOLY REVERB!

  • Is every Jackson guitar perfect for beginners ?

  • @680540 No, Jackson guitars usually are strictly just for more advanced players. However, they still have a few really good guitars for begginers for really good prices :)

  • yes yes im holding a cheap crappy guitar but its sounds ace because in standing in from of the 4k fender supersonic stack rigged up to a 150 buck krank dist pedle and a 50 buck boss reverb pedle no wonder its sounds half decent

  • I have the white one :D

  • God....i hate that intro

  • He looks like Kerry King O_o

  • amp model ?

  • This is my first guitar. Even the color. Two words: LOVE IT!!!!

  • is it a good tremelo? will it easily go out of tune?

    rock on!

  • @kiss7442 Proabably would go out of tune easily since its a cheaper guitar.

  • he looks like kerry king

  • I have a jackson js1 but is very different to this guitar

my js1 is smaller and has other things like the humbuckers and the knobs are black is very old

please if anyone got information of this guitar tell me

  • the neck looks like a shoe goin to kick ya butt

  • Comment removed

  • but uh.......wheres the whammy bar if its a beginner guitar -.-

  • This is pretty much a jackson js20 but with 2 humbuckers and different headstock.

  • This is a good guitar for beginners, and why not a good second guitar for pros too! i have this as my second guitar, so i can grab it when i like to ;D neck feel good, its alot thinner than squier necks :D:D Bridge humbucker has a bit muddy sound(well its cheap, isnt it?) but it does the job for metal, rock, trash metal just fine, the neck pup sound great! you can play nice blues leads with it and leads generally. you can set that bridge to float or not to float, with those two screws there.

  • This guy looks like he'd be Kerry King's stunt double

  • after having 2 jap jacksons in the past i thought i would get one of these, what a mistake , made from indian packing crates with a goats hind leg for a neck sounds ordinary and simply will not stay in tune and stabilise itself. ripped off and miss the japanese craftmanship. word of advice kiddies save up the extra for the jap stuff.

  • lol you look like Kerry king from slayer

  • Not too bad of a backup guitar. After a good setup it plays great. The pickups are a little iffy though..

  • i bought that guitar used on ebay, changed the pickups to dimarzios a fred in the neck and a d-sonic in the bridge and changed the tuners to real jackson tuners

  • I have a black one and the tremolo rips my strings outta tune

  • @kylerguitarist

ya i dont think any guitar that doesnt have a locking nut stays in tune so well if you watch the other youtube videos on this guitar they take the whammy/tremelo bar out and just use it as a string through

  • @nwojason my friend's bringin me a locking nut on christmas yay!

  • This guitar is a nice guitar for the money, I guess that the worst thing is the pickups. But a good budget guitar for metal.

  • can anyone here recommend a good metal guitar in the ~$700 price range with a single coil in the bridge position?

  • @LWRCftw You can't really get a METAL guitar with a bridge single coil. Idk, PRS makes pretty good ones, but if you want to play Metal, I don't see why you would want to have a single coil in the bridge position. A better set up would be a HB in the bridge and two singles in the middle and neck position.

  • Silly question maybe but is this the same as the JS1R ?

  • I'm not a beginner but I need a new guitar, I have a cort and a vintage les paul copycat dealy. what level should I go for if I'm looking to actually play shows and shit?

  • FINNALLY SOMETHING WIITHOUT WHAMMY!

  • @TW80001 Didn't you hear him? 2 point Floating Trem? That is smart talk for Whammy

  • @narto1223344 DUDE. I MEAN'T WHAMMY THE GUITARIST

    HE SUCKS AT GUITAR.

  • what is the best, jackson js1 dk or an ibanez or maybe a LTD at the same price?

  • I've gotta say that jackson makes great guitars!!! I hav a JacksonJs23 dinky AND ABSOLUTELY LOV IT! I lov the humbucker and the 2 great single coils along with the trmolo and the sharkfin inlays AND the reverse headstock! check out my channel to see some of my covers onmy recently bought jackson!!!

  • im a begginer and i want a cheap but good guitar that has a metal sound and look and not from a starter pack and here are my options esp m50 - jackson dinky js1-bc rich asm standard - dean xm - epiphone sg special - epiphone explorer gt could someone plz tell what they think is best thanks :D

  • @disfunctionalemokid jackson FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @disfunctionalemokid Get the sg special for older style metal (metallica, black sabbath iron maiden), get the jackson or esp for newer styles of metal. if you like a pantera style sound get the dean. dont buy epiphone explorers full-fucking-stop.

  • i have that guitar and believe me it is a shitty guitar.. but its verry good to begin with!

  • haha shit i have the same guitar except its blue :D Jackson is my favorite brand!

  • hi, i'm chis cannella and today i'm holding the shittiest guitar that jackson makes out of all our given price points.

  • @bulletdeposit - Classic.

  • @bulletdeposit thats fucking classic man...lmao!..but we all started on shit like this huh?...hell my first axe wasnt even that nice..lol...it was a super strat-type cruise made in korea....i still got that motherfucker...im gonna slap a rose and duncans in it..lol..has it over 20 yrs

  • @bulletdeposit Why, Whats wrong with it ... Im only asking cause Im looking into getting it ..

  • Not only is this a good beginner guitar, its good for when you break your expensive guitar and your broke. you dont feel like its holding you back. it may be cheap but it doesnt sound cheap

  • i wish i had the amp behind to make the cheap guitar sound good

  • @violetoctohedron does it matter how many pickups a guitar has?

  • is the squier bullet strat better than the jackson js1???

  • funny company....

world music supply....they only deliver to USA lol....they will deliver worldwide but you have to call by phone bla bla bla..

  • @davecarpio Not really "World" music supply. But fair dues this demo guy is talented and from a real band (autums end)

  • dude i own one of these, though prefer my sg copy.....lol. it is nice, and good for stabbing people with the headstock. haha

  • Peice of shit, they should even put shitty Vibrato trems like this, but have to admit, for 179, get very good quality from Jackson of course

  • is this guitar good?? i dont know what i should buy^^

IBANEZ GRGR121EX or this or IBANEZ GRG170DX

can anyone give me some hints? thx^^

  • @chonkhongduocnick

get a second hand "midrange" Ibanez or Jackson on ebay. That'll be a proper guitar then instead of a cheapy instrument.....which in future you'd most probably upgrade and save money

  • One question because i am thinkinh about getting this guitar, " are they versitile" because i like metal but i al so blues soft rock and other genres, can someone tell me if their verstile or not.

  • so he says they use the highest quality componets, but notice as he never mentions what wood the body is lol

  • @kburgess32 He said it was an Alder body. It was one of the first things he said after he said that line.

  • @bodomboy666 eh it doesnt matter.. most low end jacksons suck.. and even the models with the sustainers with a duncan in the bridge arent that hot.

  • @kburgess32 no need to get testy i just pointed out he did say it and I just bought a 200 dollar jackson and so far its just fine. (:

  • @bodomboy666 haha sorry if i came of like a douche.. they just dont appeal to me.. i mean seymour duncan makes amazing pickups, but for some reason the ones in the jacksons arent that great

  • i bough the js1 and its amazing metal guitar for 100 dollars amazing better than squier strat or something like that""

  • Well, a Squier Strat is a completely different guitar though. If your more of a blues-rock-jazz player, I think that a Squier would be better.

If, however you play anything heavier than that, get this one !

  • I have a JS1 and it's not the best!!! But yes, as he says, pretty good beginner guitar.

  • @dtbjjrb

Would you recommend buying the JS!? I've been playing only acoustic, and I was looking for a electric. The price seems good, and it sounds good(I'm a begginner).

  • @007Mechanix Ehh well, if you don't want to spend that much money, yes. I bought mine for $179. Also, just because it sounds good in this video doesn't mean it'll sound good with you. It also depends what amp you have. So yes, I'd recommend it to you. One more thing, if you're looking for a guitar that can do dive bombs and stuff, DON'T buy this guitar because it isn't capable of doing those kinds of things.

  • @dtbjjrb

Yeah, you're right about the amp. Alright, thanks for the info.

  • @007Mechanix Yup, no problem. Oh, also, the top of the nut on my JS1 broke off out of nowhere when I was playing a fast riff on the low E string...I'm not so sure if that's what happens to a guitar after owning it for less than two years, or if the guitar is just kinda cheap, or if I was playing too hard...but I think that's the only major problem I've had with it.

  • @FallenBG

    yea stupid website name

  • @FallenBG

Hey douchebag, ever heard of literal and figurative? Look it up.

As for your second statement, jealousy breeds contempt. Your statement is a clear example.

Well, gotta go now. Gonna order me some shit from all the hundreds of awesome online retailers here in the great USA whose prices are just SO cheap when compared to the rest of the world. Too bad they won't deliver to, how'd you put it? Oh yeah, SORRY ASSES!!!

    Go fuck yourself.

  • you sound like an ass....and btw im an IDONTCARE-ICAN

  • I have the same guitar. I recommend it to you guys. You can play what ever you want on such a guitar but specially metal n like he said: 'for reasonable price point'. Great metal guitar!

  • yep, got my first guitar at target :D oh well i hope im getting this

  • i want a jackson js1r

    BADLY!

  • im geing this for £169.00 :P YEAH

  • im really new with guitars and i want to start playing hard metal music and this guitar looks so kool. should i get it? is it really good? and im going to start playing rhythm guitar not lead

  • i have it and like it it works great and made good u can play any thing on it i use my for punk or heavy metal

  • i have owned this guitar for years and its pretty good, no where as good as the hi end ones tho.

  • man you cannot talk shit about fender or esp or jackson guitars...they are all awesome :)

  • deans, and jacksons are the best rhythm guitars, but as far as lead, or solo's nothing beats les pauls.

  • yes i know but i don't like the les paul shape i like more the V's or the Dinky shape :)

  • not true!

it depends which style of music u r playing.

  • too bad the quality is consistantly horrendous.

  • @KreatorFanMKD your totally right but I would go for dean instead of fender.

  • @KreatorFanMKD fender sucks and esp has some good ones, but i prefer jacksons bc riches and deans

  • @KreatorFanMKD Ibanez?

  • @KreatorFanMKD id say fender has more class, but it really does depend on the type of music you play. Im a HUGE fan of fenders but theyre just not good enough for the type of metal that I like to play.

  • @NickChim Idk...Ive seen Fenders with EMG's in em...Sounds sicker than any Ibanez or Dean shredder out there IMO.

  • is this like a good guitar for like slashes songs and does it have like good sound when u put up the distortion

  • lol I wanna see him attempt all that shredding he pulled off on the other guitars on this starter guitar

  • There is a cool guitar on A Complete Custom Electric Guitar dvd. There is a preview on YouTube

  • I love the inverted headstock.

  • and I really like the headstock of Jackson guitars

  • nice guitar and Jackson is a really good guitar firm

  • lmao this guy looks like kerry king

  • is this guitar good for playing heavy metal?

  • Jackson guitars are for one f*cking thing...METAL!

  • this guitar has metal written all over it

  • Are these different pickups than on the JS30 line?

  • he doesn't sound very happy in the begining *sigh* I'm chris cannella

  • I wish the headstock wasn't flipped :(

  • It has a bolt on neck, you can always buy a really nice neck on eBay for about 100 bucks and it will make your guitar look like a rip off but sick.

  • i would have to aggree with you there - u should check out the JS 20 dinky - thats exactly the same but with out the headstock - its the right way up!

  • with the headstock flipped it looks like kirk hammett's ltd

  • Yeah, it's just that the Jackson logo doesn't look good like this.

  • if you are not sastifieied about the logo a fender will suit you

  • pfft Fender are worse I prefer ESP anyday the best metal guitar brand.

  • fenders and esp's are good

  • THE DAVE MURRAY SERIES OF FENDER

  • hey does these guitar provides a good sound?

  • my 1st real guitar and no regrets

  • On World Music they are like 280 bucks! on musicians friend you can get the same thing for about 190 bucks, i think World Music is trying to rip you off

  • True. Just seen it myself about Musician's friend.

  • the js1 dinky model in guitar cneter itz 179.99

  • for the snow white one

  • the snow withe wil cost 199.99 other colors are 179.99

  • yup it costs 199.99 and i got bood for for saying the js1 looks like a kh202 ltd

  • well, the only thing they have in common is the shape. the KH is archtop, the pickups are closed at the KH and the tremolo is a double locking trem.

    good guitars, both of them.

  • ya but arent the blackouts active pickups?

  • yes they are

  • LMAO KERRY KING

  • out of all my jacksons i hate the js1 the most i should have gotten higher end jackson dinky

  • I would hate saying the same thing over and over

  • the worst series of Jackson Guitars, I prefer to get an Ibanez RG370DX rather than to buy this shit ! But in the other hand Jackson SL1 Soloist is almost the Best Guitar of the world.

  • that the cheapest jackson guitar they have but its still pretty damn good guitar also dudedo not usethe tremelo on it though because it wacks it out of tune

  • yup true but my opinion all tremlelo systems slip out of tune floyd rose ect you name it locking trem all still get out of tune

  • not if you set up a floyd correctly. also, that is a "vintage" trem, it is designed for slight variations in pitch and vibrato, not for dive bombs, lol.

  • what an intimidating fellow :|

  • btw nice review

  • do you reccomend this guitar??

i mostly play suff like metallica, disturbed A7X, etc.

Or should i get a ibanez?

  • if you want to drop-tune (like all 3 of those bands do) i'd probably go with jackson

but you can always get thicker strings and put em on your ibanezive got a JS30KE

which is awesome, theres a video for the Dinky version in related videos, check it out

  • thx man

  • if i may if you play metallica then this guitar is perfect even if you want to tackle on some machine head this is a nice guitar to own i have a blue one i banez is awsome as well they have their signiture wizard necks that r so thin and r user friendly and you can move your hand with ease and great crunchy tone if you wan to do some serious shredding either is good hlpe that helps oh i know ibanez becuause i own one also

  • lovin the beard

  • dus dinky meen its small?

  • No, it's the same size as any other standard guitar.

  • cheers

  • and jus look at the stack bhind him. would make any cheap guitar sound great

  • Yeah, but Chris is a damn fine player in any case. He sounds hot on guitars four times the price.

  • i just got one today and my fingers are turning black WTF

  • its the fretboard conditoner they put on them i think it happened to me to'

  • i got a question.i bought this guitar on monday...can u put emg pickups on this guitar?

    answer back please!

  • Yes U can I had my 81 & 85 installed in this same guitar 4 months ago and their still kickn strong.

  • you can put active emg pickups in any guitar just if it isnt a active set to start with u have to get new pots is all

  • K, Ive had this guitar for like alittle over a month now, and its my second guitar. Hardware is the only problem. Everything comes loose, so you gotta constantly tightened everything, like every other time you play. Oh, and the tremolo. It stripped itself like after I used it 14 times. So, im gonna have to buy a new one. Uh, other than that, this guitar is fuckin awesome. The neck is pretty fast, the pickups sound pretty metal. Its awesome, cool, except for the hardware.

  • what should i get - Jackson JS1 Dinky or Ibanez GRG170DX

  • im having the same problem ... i dont know what i should get ... honestly im more for the ibanez .... but the jackson also looks quite good but i wanted one in white =S ...

  • its a low quality guitar of course its not gonna sound like a 1000 guitar or anyhting like that its not made to.

  • first act is shit jacksonis the way to go ive got 3

  • hmm sounds like first act at wal mart does in it

  • No not at all. My first guitar was a first act and it sounds like a squirrel having butt sex with the strings, this Jackson which I bought about a week ago, it blows first act to shit!

  • fulcrum tremelo?? can i be pulled on to raise pitch like a floyd, then wouldnt it need a locking nut???? and then wont i be able to tune down without the bridge going towards the neck

  • which is better a floating tremolo or a fulcrum, or a js1 dinky to js20 dinky

  • floating.

  • im getting that guitar

  • I like this guy...everything he just said is so metal.

  • Sooooooo difficult to get in ireland......

  • me too

  • I wish i was a jackson spokesperson.

i would sell the shit outta those smoking hot guitars.
