Thank you for sharing this traditional hymn. In Spanish is call "Bellas Mansiones" Elvis sang as he personally knew the Saviour and as he was waiting to be soon in those Bellas Mansiones. Looks very sincere.
ELVIS HAD A VOICE OF GOD THROUGH HIS MUSIC THAT TOUCHED AND STILL DOES ANYONE WHO IS INSPIRED!!...I ALWAYS WILL MISS HIM AND THE GREAT TALENTS HE HAD!!! Thanks for putting this video on youtube.....peace
My tears covered my face when I first heard this song by Elvis 10 years ago. By the way, I am not a Christian, I don't believe in God. But his voice in this song always touches my heart and soul.

A mansion of gold that's silver lined. Think about it- even if you could afford it, it would still look pretty tacky. Even the "jungle room" at Graceland would be an exercise in good taste in comparison.
He's talking about up in heaven where the streets are also supposed to be lined in gold. Maybe your tacky comparisons will keep you out of there and all you'll get is silver plate which God will make you polish for all eternity.
I first heard it in church and in our church sponsored summer camp ironically called Hilltop Ranch in Rising Sun Maryland back in the 60's. I want it played at my funeral.
I love this song.. But the first time I heard it was not Elvis.. instead it was two boys I went to school with... they were the worst little boys but their voices were like angels. Every time I hear this song I think of the Crow Brothers singing this song. Brings back lots of memories.. Thanks Elvis.
This is such a very beautiful song. Elvis sings gospels better than anyone. I love all of Elvis' gospel music so very much. Elvis' gospel music is the best gospel music. Elvis' favorite type of music was gospel music. Elvis knew the bible way better than the vast majority of people do. Elvis will always be the greatest singer, entertainer and icon. Elvis will also always have the greatest voice. Thank you so very much for keeping Elvis' memory alive, 5 Stars as always.
