this is exactly why senator burr should support the public option. the regulations in hr 3590 were a compromise to the public option. reconciliation is what it's called. fact is you hear every republican (including lieberman) saying they want health care reform but really they just want more "gifts" from pharmaceutical and health insurance companies in exchange for a political campaign that champions their overwhelming profiteering based on the fact that people get sick.
The book "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer is the complete history of Germany of the birth of Nazis to their downfall. It is 1599 pages and took years to write.
Harry Reid's bill is 2040 pages and took 1 month to write. I believe his it has a subtitle of 'Rise and Fall of 21st Century America".
does this weak comparison based on the phrase "rise and fall" solve the problems of the rising cost of health insurance premiums, health care and pharmaceuticals? the roman empire did "rise and fall" and it was the greedy privilaged that made it fall. it rose mainly because of grueling slave labor.

They talk about concern for the unemployed. One of the major concerns of the unemployed is how they are going to afford health care, or h.c. insurance, for them and their families.

If the GOP are claiming they are fighting for what people want, why are they telling the majority of Americans who favor the public option to go fuck themselves?

The advantage of this bill for small business is that it allows them to shop for insurance in an exchange (which is also effectively cross-state insurance competition) & gives them consolidated bargaining power to bring down the discriminatory premiums insurance companies have been charging small businesses. But of course a lying sleazy GOP politician wouldn't ever mention any of that.

Again with the "2000 page" scare tactic.
An average paperback novel is around 400 pages, has about 32 lines per page, and an average of 9 words per line.
Bill HR3962 (House Bill), with it's gigantic page margins & line indexing, has only an average of 4.5 words per line and 24 lines per page. Translated into paperback novel this bill is only 769 pages, or less than 2 paperback novels. For reform of the complex h.c. system of the nation. Big deal.

Why didn't this clown mention the bills tax credits for small businesses to assist with h.c. insurance premiums?
Do you suppose he is only part of the GOP who want to kill the bill for their own political purposes?

Of course the GOP conveniently ignores that.
