  • Can you add these effects atop 35mm movie footage? Such as a real tank being hit by a shell and you add the explosion? Thanks.

  • where can i download FumeFX for 3dsmax 2011 32 bit,i really need it,i've search all over the internet, plz give me a link :'( thx

  • @madkillerabdo They don't just take a few months to make, nor do they have only one person working on every aspect of the animation on their teams. They are split up and take more than a year to make.

  • This just doesn't goes inside my mind!! If such second simulation took up to 30-hours, how people create those high detailed 3D movies!! You know, like Shrek or something.. I know that they might have much more super computers but still, how much would it take them!!!

  • epic

  • Friggin tutorial plox

  • This Explosion in a game would be great :) and you done a great job!

  • everything made with Fume FX looks real !

  • Great work, make a tutorial! :)

  • That is awesome!

  • Holy shit dude u scare me

  • Wow, look awesome.

  • Awesome video! Cloud on clouds back. You should also try make big cumulus clouds towering into thunderheads in FumeFx!

  • Very good job. The environment looks especially good (cloud anim), although you could just use a background image so avoid long render times.

I loved the shockwave and fire/smoke on this, but I think it lacks a bright glow when the explosion starts. It needs a regular flare/glow.

  • @iSOBigD Not in broad daylight it don't.

  • what was the render time?

  • simulation took about 20-30 hours, render time in Vue(environment) - 20h and render time in 3Dmax - about 12h. Processor Core2 Quad

  • very nice.. Did u get any memory overload errors... Cause thats the only thing that kills me in fumefx idk why.

  • You'll need to use x64 system only!!! It's for FumeFx. In x32 system you'll get problems with memory.

  • aight thanks

  • holy crap thats a long sim/render time! did you use multiple sources for the explosion? or was it one big particle emiter type deal?

  • I used multiple sources for the explosion, so the simulation time quite long

  • pretty darn good
