not saying you're wrong in your opinion, but I read somewhere that in the story line for that game with Soma Cruz(new dracula? but good?) that a Belmont who's name i can't remember, used the vampire killer to seal Dracula and his castle away for good, untill Soma was found or something, I have to reread it, but yeah, no other Belmont was able to do it I think.

Soma was Dracula incarnate. Julius and apparently several others completely destroyed Dracula in 1999, though they never shed much light on that. I really wish they would make a Castlevania about Dracula's demise in 1999...
