  • look's like a winch strap to me

  • Nice Vid, Next time try the winch or use two snatch straps and extend them. that way you get more of a run up.

  • Is that snatch strap torture or Hilux demolition? lol reminds me of my quick sand adventure with the rodeo.

  • ridin dirty

  • when the vehicle is stuck sometimes better to winch then breaking the recovery vehicle....try using a 50 ft rope used on tug boats ....a good hard tug will get you out if not to bogged down...chek out our vids(solanas off road)

  • Should have pulled him out backwards. If he had a big log jammed under his tyre backwards seems like the best way

  • Wow I'ts a good thing that Brit has on his class 3 reflective gear so everyone on th 4 by trail can see him...........Safety first !

  • do ya windows up ya turkey!

  • Doesnt look like a snatch strap....looks like a tow strap

  • toyotas "can" be sick like yours you have a sick lookin toyota but toyotas cant pull for shit.

  • Yeah the fun of offroading!!!! you have too love it!!!!

  • Your sposed to take drive before the strap takes!!

  • fucken amatures no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • were bouts is that ? a mate has a land cruiser shorty wiv diff lockers 35" lift kit and all were been lookin for new places 2 go were headin down sandy cape way this weekend

  • I see it all the time. Someone buys a 4WD and a snatch strap without the faintest idea how to use either. I can tell you why you couldn't pull him out, I just hope you will learn. The snatch strap needs to have no twists in it, it acts like a rubber band expelling all the forward momentum on the strap rather than on the vehicle being towed. I have dragged out much bigger cars in much deeper holes then this with my non turbo hilux, but then I know what I'm doing.

  • thats not a snatch strap btw. If they had of had a snatch strap the vehicle would have been out in a couple of pulls at the most.

  • um well MR EXPERT, it was a fucking snatch strap, bogged vehicle had a log jammed up under it, if your going to be a smart ass, try finding out facts before making yourself look like a dick! cheers

  • @tassiehunter Yeah it was a snatch and regardless of the quality theres little you could have done unless you wanted to go snorkeling under it with a shovel hahaha.

Times like these you need ramps. Good video mate, way to show the strength of a snatchy.

  • @tassiehunter thats definitely not a snatch strap it barely stretches at all

  • @OriginalSamsquatch arb 8000lb snatch strap, 12 months old, I do own winch straps and do know the differance

  • @tassiehunter facts would seem that snatching is not the appropriate method of recovery here then, given the facts you have stated.

  • @phatleighmc haha nice one! if it wasnt a snatch strap lol wat was it? a piece of rope?

  • @phatleighmc no mate sometimes they just stuck... i got stuck once and 2 cars couldnt snap me out together

  • @phatleighmc looks like a snatch strap to me. you can tell that its not a thin tow strap, it has some girth to it. Problem is it was twisted up.

  • all 4x4 have their + and - points

for me my land rover is best (thats why its what i brought)

    for others its not

  • A vid like this always brings out the know it alls, good vid mate

  • why let the hilux get in that big a hole? shoulda used the winch as soon as you could see nothing was happening with the snatchy

  • snatching is sooooooooooo much faster winnchin takes for ever cuz you have to spool it out, attach it to somthin, pull you self out, then spool it back up it takes forvever, snatchin is the way to go until you recovery vehicle gets stuck then its winch or nothin.

  • @holyluke of course, the fastest way is the correct way? Who cares of its dangerous or going to damage the vehciles, as long as its fast yeah? no idea....

  • @BushyFromOz wheelin is like speeding if you cant pay the fine dont do it.....

  • Landcruisers are too heavy.

    You need a Sierra

  • pos tOYOTA hahahahhah

  • just watch the luxs rims get deeper and deeper lol

  • Yea nice one,the hilux was gettin it for sure LOL OH no you stuck there LMAO

  • Well, In my experience, Hilux's usually don't have much grunt, especially when going up steep hill, they're just made for cruising vehicle only. Just a suggestion, when ever in such situation like this in the mud, always have some chains on board, and some bog mats. I'd hihly recommend it, bog mats are the go especially for mud. Wouldn't be without them.

  • I'll take longevity over power any day.

    and there's always low range...

They are the best production vehicle to take off road. Made for cruising only, my ass...

  • Kudos for keeping at it, you attacked that sh!t with force. Figured you had it. I love the Lux. Always wanted one, I had to settle for a 92X-cab, you guys on the other side get all the cool rigs.

  • The guy in the 70 trying to dig his what to china wasn't helping.

All he was doing was finding the only place he could to rest his frame so the guy pulling had more to pull out.

    Sweet 4WDs guys.

  • mud engraved in tread, causes no traction, lol sukz, bad, nice toyota fyi

  • wtf??? what was stopping the double cab?? the ruts don't look deep enough to sit it on the axles

  • Perhaps the strap that was attached to the stuck vehicle. Just a thought.

  • i ment after the strop had gone slack,

    a quick tip

    shoulda got a landrover

  • Why? They wanted to get OUT of their driveway?

Rovers are shit. That Hilux had stronger diffs.

Why do you suppose there were two Toyota's there? Because they know Rovers are shit.

"Lucas, the prince of darkness. Inventor of the short circuit"

  • Well it looks like you haven't seen a proper landy in action with a good driver

  • Touchet, landrover would hav been better, a god low ratio gear box just right for the job. :thumbs up:

  • they were, twin lokka's in the lux as well, some tuff trucks had been through before me running 38's ,didn't help us

  • I like seeing other people stuck.

    I been stuck enough myself

    Never mind these armchair wheelers

    thanks for posting mate!

  • @tassiehunter they never do, makes it a long winch job for my 4x4 bitsamissin van LOL

  • he looked pretty stuck, i thought u had him a few times if u would of stayed on the juice. nice vid.

  • mate that was some funny shit i was laughing all the way where is part 2 lol

  • Now that's what i call stuck...hahah
