I actually think the song was written with civilians in mind and not the soldiers.
These civilians have not had the formal training of boot camp and all that follows so I would think many folks would quite understand where you are coming from -- "the PROUD Canadian Soldier".
Good idea though....maybe we DO need some fighting songs.
@louislungbubble Thank you very much and kind of you to say. I gather you were visiting at the time. It is wonderful to know and to have such a great ally in Australia!
Just to point myself out, at 5:17 exactly, you see marcher #1, then #2 and #3 about 2 meters behind him, look directly up from that were the group of trees on the left has some space then you get the 3 trees. I am the person between the blue shirt and the red shirt that is directly above marcher #2 and #3. I am shorter then Blue Shirt and Red Shirt. Blue shirt is my dad, red shirt is a very funny woman that we met during the show!
If anybody sees a fat white kid wearing a white and black NB hat, a black trench coat, red shirt, black pants standing next to a tall guy in a blue shirt, standing next to the tall Pine trees, then that was me. That Tattoo was awsome. I especially liked the combat demo. It was kinda funny that they had the war going on in one side of the area, and on the other side was the clean-up crew picking up the spent bullet shells! I also liked the parachuters who landed in the River! LOL!
I can't tell you how much that song annoys me... makes me feel like a pansie. In other countries they sing songs to feel like men!
