  • Hi im not a member of candlepowerforums tried didn't work but im interested in ordering one of your lights is there a way to contact you via email or? Thanks have followed your builds amazing stuff talented

  • @thebearlakemonster

    I'll message you... :)

  • How is this compared to the terralux ministar31 ?

  • @TerminatorFRA

    Four things foremost:

    * Massive custom heatsink

    * Single reflector

    * Voltage Monitor

    * Li-Ion supply for run time

  • @jayrob94561 Ok, I agree the heatsink is different, though on the 310, it doesnt heat up so fast. Single reflector is perfect for focusing. The optics on the 310 are a source of loss in light intensity.

    I compared it to a Fenix TK70, even on 930 lumens, the fenix shines well far brighter. So maybe 1000 lumens, but only at the leds and not outside...

    Voltage monitor, OK not bad. ;)

    But I don't like so Li-ion in my case.

  • @TerminatorFRA

    Just FYI, I build these with a NiMH configuration as well. You can go with a 3 X NiMH set up. Or if you want a voltage monitor, you can use a 4 X NiMH and a 5 X NiMH, or even a Streamlight NiMH pack. All of those last 3 mentioned configurations can have a voltage monitor if desired...

  • @jayrob94561 3 NIMH are the strict minimum, 4 is more comfortable. ;)

    I have to agree though it seems it has a nice throw. Too bad maglite doesn't build really powerful led flashlights.

  • @TerminatorFRA

    3 NiMH is just fine with the other driver options I have for a single cell Stubby version. (single cell Li-Ion, or 3 X NiMH)

  • i wanna buy one of it!!! how much!!! and can u plz list it on ebay???? where r u from???

  • @luvusia

    There is a link in my video comments. I'll send you a message...

  • how much for this to uk ill buy 1 of you please reply thanks and great build better then

    a maglite lol

  • @MrAwol007

    The complete build is $129 (batteries not included)... Add $58 if you want the voltage monitor option. Message me at Candle Power Forums. (see my link in the video comments)

  • at 0:50 (just before the next sequence) when you lift the lamp, the ground is illuminated. so my question is: did you use an other light source to film this video...? thanks

  • @gamerz1

    No, the ground is illuminated from the spill of the light. The center spot is very bright, but it also has very bright side spill... :)

  • @jayrob94561 Nice work man! I need to save my pennies to buy one of these babys lol. How difficult would it be to bulid one?

  • @frajada2006

    I have a tutorial thread / sales thread linked in the video comments!

  • @831hustla, see the thread in my video comments. You can go there and contact me...

  • Nice Thrower, good work...

  • @850kubik
