basically a built bottom end. forged pistons and rods. balanced and blueprinted.

heads are ported, and i am running bc280 cams.

turbo setup consists of a twin scroll manifold, borg warner 83-75 t4, fiveo 1600cc injectors, e-85, 2 turbosmart compgate 40 wastegates, and 27psi of boost.

Don't take my word for it, but I always thought it was the Boxer engine design that kind of inhibits it from pushing out too much horsepower. They exist, but those are constantly maintained, tuned to the max, complete drag monsters. But as with any engine, when you're pushing out a lot of HP, expect some thing(s) to break, it's just a matter of when it'll decide to give. But that's just my take. I'm no mechanic. :)

@SummerConspiracy A lot of it has to do with loss of hp in the power transfer to the wheels. AWD loses a lot of hp in the transfer to the wheels. You also have to look at gear ratios. All that being said, you can get a crap ton out of the engine. It just really helps to go forged.
