If anything, your accent seems to migrate. Sometimes, it's a midwest (suburban, not rural), and other times, it is similar to an east-coast thing. Only a few words (maybe even parts of words) did is venture back across the atlantic.
@ltzzy11 , yes, most people from America do use like a lot haha. Maybe unknowingly and not saying you do all the time, i obviously don't know you lol but I've definitely noticed it (i'm from america by the way..)
i love your british accent, although the way you were doing the american accent reminds of highschool popular girl, with all the like and everything it really threw it off. my advice would be to visit america and listen to the accents before so you can perfect your own american accent.
The British make Americans sound like preppy cheerleaders or Southern, while Americans make the British sound posh and arrogant hahah. Really great attempt though!
it's flattering you would try the american accent. The problem is you really force some parts. You also raise your voice when you speak in an american accent think of an american accent as your but with softer edges. Also don't change your pitch too much. It's ok and it's really sweet you would try it.
Your main problem is that you’re trying to be the accent, not yourself. When you switched to your American accent you “dumbed down” your vernacular. I would suggest that you just speak with the words that you would naturally say, only with an American accent. Also, don’t go crazy with the “valley girl” inflection. Really, the best way that you could improve your accent would be to live in the US for a while. If interested in the US, then you could study abroad for a term. Hope this helped.
You do a decent job at the american accent, one thing I'd say you can improve on is pronouncing the r more fully when it's before a consonant. That's a tell-tale sign for an american to tell you're not from the US. Other than that, good job!

We don't say "Blackberry" like that.
The way you're saying it is like black-bree. We say black-bear-ee.
It's really obvious that you're not American..you started off really well, but it slipped more and more throughout.

You "sure" sounds like "chure", practice your vowels. Just keep saying them over and over.

Pretty good, but you seem to go from region to region. We wouldn't say "moan" in that context, maybe "gripe" or "bitch" or "complain"....

I like when you're on a roll then suddenly we hear "you(chu)bers" or "his(tr)y".
I notice that British people seem to all think we make insanely high inflictions and say like constantly. Okay well maybe that's because we do. Haha

i dont think your accent sounds very american... and if it is it is like super northern. And Blackberry is not like that

The accent wasn't terrible, it just seemed very forced, and your natural English accent forced its way through at times.
