@rhyungshik I have an accent too, most CBC/ABC do and so does Linda. It's just not as noticeable unless you listen carefully. I suspect that when she first started speaking, it was in Cantonese, similarly to me. She probably has a stronger accent now because she speaks Cantonese on a daily basis. Still, to most HK people it sounds perfect.

The first time she responded in english, she sounded like a white girl. But the second time, it's obvious she's asian. I live in SF, so i know just by hearing when an asian, no matter how fluent their english is, speaks english. The only exception is when a second or third generation asian speaks english, because they don't have any asian accent all.

Ya, i totally agree with you. Alot of chinese born North Americans who are able to speak chinese fluently will most likely have some sorta of an asian accent when speaking english. I mean, yes.. north american chinese people speak very perfect and fluent english but they will always have some sorta of asian accent if they speak chinese at home too...
