Workspace unavailable. I am not able to create the /opt/lampp/htdocs workspace. i killed the eclipse and java processes in the system monitor, but still not able to create the workspace. Please help.

@rohitbellary you have to execute: "sudo chown -R *your username* /opt/lampp/htdocs/"

@winfr34k : Thanks a lot. That solved the problem. i even deleted the .lock file from the workspace --> .metadata folder...
