  • One side effect I've noticed are long, vivid dreams.

  • One more thing came to my mind. Maybe you were taking too much nicotine gums!! the best is to take 3 per day and decrease it to one and then stop. A friend of mine quite smoking by switching to Swedish Snus and changing to lighter brands one by one, decreasing the dosage and finally stopped. I did not like the taste of Swedish snus so I am using the gums but I am thinking to go back to Snus although it tastes bad, the craving is less with it.

  • @hghorbani

Thats where i went horrible wrong then! I was chewing like 6 to 7 a day! They were just so nice to chew, lasted like 10 times longer then normal gum. And to make em stretch out longer i would chew a normal gum with em so i didnt nom a whole tray in 3 days heh. What is a snus by the way never heard of one of those?

  • Hello

2 points, first, you are so cute. :-P

second, here in Sweden there are cigarette replacements called Snus. They are basically small packs of tobacco that you put between the cheek and the gum and they are quite strong and rather cheap. You could try them if you can find them there. By the way, they taste awful, you should not touch them by tongue.

  • @hghorbani

Darn just saw you explained what a snus is there heh XD

I fear the habbit of chewing gum would lead me to accidentlly chew a snus..but maybe after the horror of doing so i wouldnt make the same mistake again! I shall investigate in snus! Thank you :D

    P.s...I'm cute? Awwwwww! *blush*

  • qk question ...... did you quit fully or do you smoke now ?? hope you did smoking sucks and is for old ppl i think :(

  • @swayzeekez

I am sad to say i did start to smoke again, i didnt smoke for months and months...

But the no smoking program i was on got my hooked on the gum..and that was about £17 a box! Plus my mother askin me to roll her smokes for her, and the moving house. I couldnt afford the gum and slowly started to smoke again :( I hate it i really do...but i dont smoke half as much as i did back then. I'm thinking of trying that fake cigerrette inhaler thing. Anyone here tried it?

  • That after dinner craving is the worst! Wish you the best on your quest to nicotine free! It's a hard one...

  • yo idk what the fuck u guys are buying but i just got a 40 pack of generic 2mg walgreens nicotine gum in Connecticut, USA for $6... finally quitting bogies

  • Different prices different places!

Found massive box in a pound shop for....well a pound haha XD But i'm off the nicotine gum now. Just chewing normal bubble gum for 20p. Tho if i was still on it i would ask you to post some over to uk lol.

  • stupid as it sounds, beef jerky seems to be helping me off the gum. Although at the local Wal-mart in Georgia, I can get the generic gum 170 pieces for like $30, which ain't too bad. A carton of cigs is more than that, and I always wanna smoke in places it's not allowed. Gum is allowed anywhere. So if worse comes to worse and I stay on gum, I'm way better off. Don't ya think?

  • I totally agree! Nothing worse then those after dinner cravings for that after dinner cigertte! If your having dinner out it is rather annoying having to run outside and then run back in and miss out on the conversation or leaving your date alone sat there lol! I'm finding mixing my nicotine gum with normal gum is helping the cross over to complete smoke freedom, yeah i went back on the gum..the price is still crazy...£19.99! Argh!!!!

  • beef jerky is the shit

  • proud of you, my lady. YOu are absolutely adorable as well

  • I've been on the gum for nearly three years, i just cant stop. Ive bought the alan carr dvd and everything but I just get the pure RAGE without it lol :O)

  • I know that feeling all too well...and so does my poor boyfriend when i'm without heheh.

  • If you chew enough of this, can you get a buzz from it?

  • No you can't get a buzz from the gum, not that i ever have anyways....just gas and the rage when you have ran out of gum....has anyone noticed how the price of gum has reached stupid hights? £17.99p is how much i saw it in the shops for now....so stupid, cheaper to continue smoking!

  • yeah the price is rediculous, here in the US it's close to $35 for 40 pieces of gum, when the most expensive cigarette brands are only $3-$5 a pack.

  • I had a look at the prices here in Amsterdam and it's like 27 euros!!! When i get back to England i'm making a video for the BBC news about how bloody stupid this is....viva la revolution!!!

  • yep . sunmark is the brand they sent me for free in the mail.

  • got news for you, babe...when you finish that last piece of gum you will NOT be "nicotine free". Now that you've quit smoking, you are gonna have to figure out a way to quit the gum

  • Indeed you were right gsb8261....i did not realise how addictive the gum was untill i tried to stop...i'm trying to replace it with normal gum but it just doesn't work....i'm just wanting NICTINE GUM!!! NOW!!!

  • I know,i find i crave the gum more then smoking, and the gum costs more then smoking.I think it's some bloody goverment comspiracy, people are quiting smoking so they bamf up the prices of the gum to make up for it THEN when you run out of gum you start smoking again, is there no way out?Why cant they make the gum without the nicotine in it?i try'd using just normal gum but it ant the same, its too small and the flavor goes in seconds unlike nicotine gum thats bigger adn lasts for around an hour

  • Lol sorry folks, i was logged in as someone eles? How bizzare? Anyways i'm in amsterdam so i'm lighting up :)

  • *pokes eye*

    Gas :D Hehehe
