I'm learning scales already. For the violin is so natural. More so than the equal tempered scales!! Amazing! Equal spacing of the fingers and on to the next string.. So this is what violins were made for (maybe 500 years before with a coconut and a fish skin) with tuning in 5ths...

So westerners invented the pianoforte.. Scales went to the sh*thole and only arabs (and other not-european cultures) keep melodies interesting... Like if there were only 12 notes all equally spaced... Thanks god arabs keep Maqam alive!
