Some years ago, I came across a family with a little boy that had ACTUAL cat/reptillian-like eyes NOT just a blimish above or below the pupil and DEFINITELY NOTcontacts.

His eyelids were western (round) but the iris' were slit vertically and functioning (widened and narrowed as we went in/out of the sunlight). It was actually kinda creepy and at the time and I didn't want to stare or be rude and ask.

Can anyone tell me what this is called?

I've got cat's eyes, but in both eyes. And it looks nothing like the picture in that clip, they look like actual cats eyes, not like a pupil with a random line going out the side.

As for birth defects, that's something I've never heard of. There must be a very broad range of CES.

TY for your video on Cat Eye Syndrome. I first encountered it when I was in 7th grade Geography class, back in the year 1982. That was in Wayne, OK.. I have since studied chromosome 22, Cat Eye Syndrome & isolated bilateral iris coloboma off & on since then. Are you related to Marion Moore (the boy born with real angel-like wings) or a Vicki Moore Flournoy? Her sister Patricia & I were classmates & Vicki has the real cat eyes, but only isolated. You have CES?
