  • ,in some ways it seems now that the less you do regards dance music,i.e. paint by numbers beats etc the more money you make. Ultimately the conviction and true essence has been lost to be superceded by a plethora of non-entities that don't give a shit about anybody only themselves

  • Basement were both streets and ahem..basements ahead of everyone else for me...they had a unique intelligent take on the scene, and their legacy completely stands the test of time, putting some latter day producers to shame.

  • Lol props to the dude who thumb'd down....... bless he really needz it!

    illeshit2... top upload...sendin U thanx and appreciation!

  • Quite a lot of groove on their tracks too. Even the four to the four vibes have a swing edge.

  • one of the things I noticed with Basement is they didn't often use vocals within productions but when they did they opted for more 'live' sounding edits rather than just cheesy sped up typical fare. Really impressive, the percussive elements really build the intro up strongly to the main piano. Absolutely gorgeous - what a fantastic production for '92. Compare this to a Prodigy tune of the same period with its more gimmicky samples and bleepings...and don't get me wrong, I liked

  • ....liked Prodigy's material, but.....streets ahead for me.

    A paragon.

  • yeah, basement is class ::)

  • does anyone know the vocal sample?

  • nice piano song as soon as i heard it just now, i knew this was going to be a wicked song :)

  • great tune!

  • really like this track

  • I like it!!!! thanks for uploading :)
