The coach is not bad. I play an advance level, not quite pro, but around a 2250 US level. I have coached some beginners before and it is not easy to be consistent blocking, because their spins and placement are incosistent. besides she's only blocking. A lot of people here are sexist. Not really funny.
Guyz, how can one maintain composure during games. I felt that even if you're good enough with any drills or strokes if you don't have proper composure, you're nothing. Like myself, i tend to be in the attack mode all the time which often resulted to lack of controls and miss the points. I'm over excited with every shot. Sometimes my hand hesitates to strike even if it's clear to attack especially on the slow ball. Please help. Any advice or training that could improve your composure? Thanks!!!
i hope the woman in red was a frend n not a coach, cus her blocks r all ova the place how do u expect a learner to increase consistancy if ur not blockin the ballz in the same plce 75% of the time. also shes a lazy goose, dont hav no footwork to adjust her blockz. bkhand loop is one smooth movement combining the wrist n elbows traveling forward for power!! dats it for now

sometimes when you go for the harder shot you are ending up quite high up and with a long stroke, you may struggle to recover from this, remember power comes from timing and quick wrist movement.
my backhand loop was my best shot by far, so im quite qualified for this coaching job haha!
its not bad at all, you go for spin first on the backhand as opposed to power which is good, and rare, at least when i played.
i would say you could put your elbow down a little, and one mistake i used to make a lot is that i would come up everytime i played the shot, you seem to be doing the same a little, try to stay at the same level, i know its hard tho.
yes irish table tennis is an absolute joke, with no coaches, u basically develop bad technique , reach a certain level and can progress no further due to the bad habits u have started to acquire since day 1! absolute joke

i would say that ur backhand could be good but the technique is missing wrist work and bringing the elbow forward, and mainly footwork
